The Kathmandu Valley Cultural trek is a newly developed trekking route that offers a very different experience than that of other trekking routes in Nepal. Taking you to some of the most popular hiking destinations (Sundarijal, Chisapani, Nagarkot and Changu Narayan) of the Kathmandu Valley, the trek presents the most beautiful rural culture in the shadow of the stunning peaks stretching from Dhaulagiri in the west to Everest and Kanchenjunga in the east. Although the trail is more of the culture trekking, the beautiful forest of Rhododendron, cascading waterfalls, streams, the view of the Kathmandu Valley and myriads of other natural wonder definitely contributes to make this trek a perfect short trek. A visit to Changu Narayan Temple built during the 5th century and the sunrise view from Nagarkot and the Shivapuri & Nagarjun National Park are the major attractions of the trek.

This is an easy trek  very much suitable for children and elderly people. 2,300m is the maximum altitude achieved during the trek. 6 days Kathmandu Valley Cultural Trek itinerary designed by Amigo Treks and Expedition also includes a guided sightseeing tour to the world heritage site (Pashupatinath, Boudhanath, Swayambhunath, and the Kathmandu and Bhaktapur Durbar Square) of the Kathmandu Valley. The package includes full board (meal and accommodation) during the trek and bed and breakfast after the trek. Trekkers are also provided with a free map. Moreover, this package can be fully customized to your needs and requirements. All the customized packages ensure special group discount, 100% departure and flat rates.

Although spring (March-May) and autumn (September-November) are considered the perfect time to plan Kathmandu Valley View and Cultural trekking due to the perfect weather and the clear visibility, the trek can be planned any time of the year. Amigo Treks and Expedition can make some of the best arrangements for you.

This Kathmandu Valley 6 day cultural tour and trekking starts with a bus ride from Kathmandu to Sundarijal. The trail passes through Mulkharka, Chisapani, Manichaur, Nagarkot and finally ends at Changu Narayan where we catch a vehicle back to Kathmandu. We strive to make these 6 days one of the best days of your life. Enjoy!

Accommodation and Food:

We always make sure that our customers get the right value for their money. Therefore, we always attempt to make some of the best arrangements for our customers. To ensure a comfortable stay, we book a tourist standard hotel in Kathmandu, before and after the trek. Normally the rooms are twin share, where you will have to share your room with another member of your group. However, this totally depends on  the size of your group and the availability of rooms in the hotel. On request, a triple share can also be arranged. However, if you are looking for a single supplement room, extra charges will be applicable.

During the trek, your stay is arranged in a local guest house or lodge with shared amenities. Most of these lodges provide the facility of hot shower; however, in the absence of hot shower a few buckets of hot water can also be arranged on request.

A full board  meal (breakfast, lunch, dinner and tea& coffee) will  be provided during the trek. The breakfast and dinner will be provided in the accommodation itself. Lunch is normally ordered from a teahouse menu. Both western and Nepali food will be served during the trek.
