My friend and I recently went on a motorbike tour of Upper Mustang with Amigo Treks and Expedition, and we have to say, it was an incredible experience. From the stunning scenery to the fascinating cultural sites, it was a trip that we will never forget.
On the first day, we arrived in Kathmandu and were warmly greeted by an Amigo Treks and Expeditions representative. We were transferred to our hotel, where we had the rest of the day to explore the city on our own.
The following day, we had a full day of sightseeing in the Kathmandu Valley, where we visited some of the most iconic sites in the city, including the Swayambhunath Stupa, Pashupatinath Temple, and Boudhanath Stupa. We also had the chance to test drive our motorcycles and get familiar with them before starting the journey.
On the third day, we started our journey toward Pokhara, a city known for its stunning natural beauty. The drive was breathtaking, and we were already in awe of the scenery.
We continued our journey through the rugged terrain of the Mustang region, making our way to Kalopani on the fourth day. The views were incredible, and we couldn't believe the natural beauty that surrounded us.
One of the highlights of the trip was visiting Muktinath, a sacred place for both Hindus and Buddhists. After spending time there, we made our way back to Kagbeni, a town that sits at the entrance of the Mustang region.
The following day, we drove to Ghami, a small village with a rich history and cultural significance. The highlight of the trip was visiting Lo-Manthang, a fortified city that is home to some of the most fascinating cultural heritage in the region. We spent the day exploring the city and learning about its history.
We had an entire day to explore around Lo-Manthang and take in all of the sights and sounds of this incredible city. From ancient monasteries to beautiful palaces, there was no shortage of things to see and do.
After leaving Lo-Manthang, we continued our journey towards Gilling, a small town that offered a glimpse into the everyday life of the people in the region. We then made our way back to Kagbeni and eventually to Tatopani, a small village known for its natural hot springs, where we could relax and unwind after days of driving.
We then made our way back to Pokhara, where we could take in more of the city's natural beauty and soak up its relaxed atmosphere. The next day, we drove back to Kathmandu, where we had one final night to experience the city's vibrant culture and unique atmosphere.
