The Dawn to Dusk Pokhara City Tour is a one full day, sunrise to sunset Pokhara sightseeing tour. This tour in Pokhara will give you an action-packed day, allowing you to explore the best sights and experiences this beautiful city has to offer. From serene early morning views of the Himalayas (from Sarangkot) to insightful exploration of city’s natural, cultural and historical highlights (Pumdikot, World Peace Pagoda, Gupteshwor Cave, Mahendra Cave, Bat Cave, Devi’s Fall, Seti River Gorge and International Mountain Museum) to a vibrant sunset over the lake (the Phewa Lake), this Pokhara tour will give you the taste of the all- natural, religious and cultural world of Pokhara.

Highlights:

  • Sagangkot (1600m), a hill on the western side of Pokhara is famous for the panoramic Himalayan views of Annapurna, Dhaulagiri and Manaslu range and the expansive view of the city of Pokhara and the Phewa Lake. Sarangkot is also a popular spot for hiking, paragliding, ziplining and landscape photography. It’s a heaven for Orophile and Aurophile and the best time to be here is during sunrise or sunset.
  • Pumdikot and the World Peace Pagoda in Pokhara are religious (Hindu and Buddhist), cultural and historical man-made landmarks that sit on the hilltop at 1500 and 1100 meters, respectively, overlooking the Phewa Lake and the Pokhara Valley. These hilltops also offer a wide-angle panorama of the Himalayas that range from Dhaulagiri and its sister peaks on the left, Annapurna and Machhaapuchhre in the middle and  Manaslu and Hiunchuli off to the right. Apart from the stunning vistas of Pokhara and the surrounding areas, visiting these places offers spiritual experience and connection to Buddhism and Hinduism.
  • The caves: Gupteshwor, Mahendra and the Bat cave in Pokhara, are the natural landmarks that add unique character to this beautiful city. Apart from the incredible experience of rock formation, stalactites, stalagmites and underground streams, the spiritual and adventurous atmosphere that these caves offer add a deep layer to your visit.
  • Devi’s Fall and the Seti Gorge are the two very mysterious and intriguing natural wonders that are located just a short distance from Pokhara. Devi’s Fall, originating from the Phewa Lake dam cascades down into a deep rocky gorge and vanishes into an underground tunnel creating a mysterious and fascinating scene, while the gorge carved by Seti River and surrounded by steep cliffs create a dramatic and impressive landscape offering peaceful natural environment and impressive geological formation for the visitors to enjoy.
  • The International Mountain Museum in Pokhara offers a deep dive into the region’s mountaineering history, the lives of climbers, and the unique cultures of the people who live in these majestic mountains making it a perfect place for people interested in mountaineering and the rich history of the Himalayas.
  • Phewa Lake in Pokhara is one of the most iconic and serene destinations in Nepal. This lake is surrounded by lush green hills and snow capped peaks like Annapurna and Machhapuchhre that reflect on the lake surface during sunrise and sunset. Especially during sunset, the sun dipping behind the Annapurna Range casts beautiful colors over the lake and creates a magical site to spend tranquil and relaxed evenings.

This one day Pokhara Valley tour begins half an hour to 45 minutes before sunrise, every day, with a trip to Sarangkot viewpoint to witness breathtaking sunrise over the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri Mountain Range and the majestic faces of Annapurna, Dhaulagiri and Machhapuchhre.
