Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu

Our team member will guide you from the airport to your Hotel. You will be staying in a tourist standard hotel with all the facilities available. We will then leave for our office to meet with your guide and plan the trip. You can ask questions regarding the trip if you have any. In the evening, we will conduct a dinner for you with local food and introduce you to Nepali culture and tradition through Nepali dance and music. You will be guided to your hotel after dinner.

Day 2: Kathmandu City Tour

After breakfast, we will visit Pashupatinath, Boudhanath, Swoyambhunath and Basantapur Durbar Square. If time permits, we will also visit Patan Durbar Square. Today’s tour will give you a better understanding of Nepal’s culture, lifestyle, its people and its atavistic monuments and shrines. After the tour, we will be meeting us again to discuss the tour further and to catch up on today’s visit. You will be spending the night in one of Kathmandu’s top listed hotels.

Highlights of the day: Pashuatinath Temple- a Hindu shrine dedicated to the Lord Shiva, who holds the power of destruction; Swayambhunath and Boudhanath Stupa – a Buddhist shrine dedicated to Lord Buddha, who is also known as, ‘the Light of Asia’; the Kathmandu Durbar Square – a square that preserves cultural, historical and architectural masterpieces, some dating back to the 12th century.

Day 3: Drive to Bandipur

After breakfast at the hotel, our transportation will be ready to take us to Bandipur. Midway on the drive between Kathmandu and Pokhara, Bandipur is a hilltop Newar Town with its old culture still preserved. We will be reaching Bandipur mid-day and will be taken to the hotel where you will freshen up and have lunch. Located at a height of 1030m, the surrounding is perfect to relax and take a walk along the pristine trees and stone paved trails or just sip your coffee and enjoy the soothing scenario Bandipur has to offer.

Day 4: Drive to Pokhara

After the Breakfast in Bandipur, our next destination will be 79.5kms along the road of Prithvi Highway.  Pokhara is known for its leisure environment which can be best relaxation but also for adventure. The stunning Annapurna Range in the backdrop and the tranquil lakes covers the city of Pokhara. We will enjoy lunch overlooking the mountains and spend the rest of your day strolling around the lake.

Highlights of the day: Sunrise view from Bandipur, scenic drive from Bandipur to Pokhara.

Day 5: Pokhara tour

After breakfast we will go around the Pokhara city to visit some of its natural wonders. You can take the best pictures in Pokhara because of its terrain and mountains. While touring the city we will do activities like visit Davi’s fall (waterfall), Gupteswor Cave, Bindabasini temple and Seti River Gorge. Throughout the stay, Pokhara will not stop to fascinate us with its friendly people and peaceful environment, making us want to stay more! After the day trip you will return to your hotel and spend the night there.

Highlights of the day: Serene View of Phewa Lake and Machhapuchhre, antique shops, lively bars, restaurants, internet cafes at lake area. Davi’s Fall, thrilling Gupteswor Cave, Bindabasini Temple, breathtaking Seti River Gorge, and the Museum, a peaceful boating trip around the lake, and the beautiful view of Annapurna and Machhapuchhre.

Day 6: Drive to Lumbini/ Visit Tansen on the way

In the morning we will visit a hilltop in Pokhara named Sarangkot. It offers the magnificent view of the sunrise amidst the mountain with the whole city beneath. Adventure junkies also paraglide from this hill. We can either hike up to Sarangkot or take the private transportation. After enjoying the beautiful sunrise, we will start today’s journey towards Lumbini. Lumbini is the birthplace of Lord Buddha and regarded as one of the sacred places to visit while in Nepal. Along the way, we will stop by Tansen, Palpa. Tansen is an underrated destination for most travelers but will awe us with its beauty. After the visit, we will continue for Lumbini. On reaching Lumbini, you will be taken to your tourist standard Hotel where you will spend the night.

Highlights of the day: Serene View along the way from Lumbini to Tansen; view of Rani Mahal, Nepal’s Taj Mahal. Explore the rural areas of Nepal like Palpa and experiencing their culture.

Day 7: Lumbini Tour

After Breakfast in the hotel, we will visit the pilgrimage site where it is believed that Lord Buddha was born. Remarked as one of the world’s famous important spiritual sites, Lumbini pays homage to 25 International Buddhist monasteries, a beautiful Mayadevi Garden and meditation halls. If you were thinking of taking a spiritual vacation then Lumbini is the place for you. After a fruitful day, we will go back to the hotel.

Highlights of the day: The Sacred Lumbini Garden-where Buddha was born;  the Ashoka Pillar, a pillar erected by the Mauryan Emperor Ashoka in 249 BC with its Pali inscription that testifies the birth year (623 BC) and the place of Lord Buddha;  Mayadevi temple – protecting the bas-relief depicting the nativity and other ruins of old temple walls dating from 3rd BC to 12 AD; religious manuscripts, terracotta fragments and stone and metal sculptures and stamps from various countries depicting Lumbini and Buddha in the Lumbini Museum.

Day 8: Drive to Chitwan

Today we will be travelling to Chitwan from Lumbini in our private vehicle. Chitwan, also known as the heart of the jungle lies in the southern Nepal in the Narayani Zone. Since we will be using our own transportation, we can stop anywhere along the way to enjoy the panoramic scenario.  

Chitwan has a dense jungle full of various species of animals and birds, reptiles and plants. It also plays homage to some of the endangered species like the One-Horned Rhino and the Bengal tiger. It is also famous for its agriculture and vegetation and its well renowned Tharu community. At arrival, you will be taken to your hotel and dinner will be served.

Highlights of the day: Views of picturesque hamlets, terraced farms, green hilltops and the lifestyle of people running motels, hotels and lodges for survival and an insight on the lifestyle and culture of Tharu people, their amazing Stick Dance and their museum.

Day 9: Chitwan Tour

After spending the night in one of the tourist standard hotel, you will head out towards the National Park. You can witness the wilderness at its best while in Chitwan. From elephant rides to canoe rides, Chitwan has it all. You can also spend some time with the elephants in the breeding center or spend time relaxing by the park with your drink. After the adventurous day, you will be guided back to your hotel where in the evening we will host a dinner for you while you enjoy the ethnic cultural dance performance of the Tharu community.

Highlights of the day: Jungle safari, dugout canoe, jeep safari, and jungle walk, opportunity to spot rare species of birds, monkeys, deer, rhinos and water birds and a visit to the elephant breeding center and Bis Hajaar Taal.

Day 10: Fly to Kathmandu/ Trip to Dhulikhel

Today we will have breakfast in the hotel and take a domestic flight from Bharatpur Airport to Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu. During the flight to the capital city, we can enjoy the view of the hills and lush vegetations from the clouds. Upon arrival, our next destination will be Dhulikhel. Dhulikhel lies in the outskirts if Kathmandu and is the best place to view the high Himalayas if you missed your chances in Pokhara. On the way, Kailashnath Mahadev can also be witnessed. It is known to be the tallest statue of Shiva in Asia.

Highlights of the day: Beautiful view from the airplane in the flight towards Kathmandu; amazing landscape enroute Dhulikhel from Kathmandu; enjoy the peaceful environment and reminiscence the trip in Dhulikhel.

Day 11: Dhulikhel to Bhaktapur

After enjoying the beautiful morning view from Dhulikhel, we will set out to Bhaktapur Durbar Square. Bhaktapur is known as the city of devotees where the historic culture and traditions are still preserved till date. It is the medieval city-state in the country which offers us a taste of how the Newar kings used to live in the historic era. Although the 2015 Earthquake caused some damage to the ancient city, it has till managed to restore its beauty with its temples and typical Newar homes. The Nyatapola Temple, Art Gallery, Bhairabnath Temple and different museums are a must see while in Bhaktapur. After the trip to the Durbar Square, we will have you dinner and will be staying at Hotel Heritage or similar.

Day 12: Mountain flight/ Departure

On the last day of your stay in Nepal, we will have yet another adventure. After breakfast in Bhaktapur, we will have a mountain flight early in the morning. From Bhaktapur you will be taken to Tribhuvan International Airport to witness Mt. Everest from a closer point of view. The flight will surely leave us mesmerized. On returning, we will assure that you safely get back all your belongings to the airport for your flight back home. Climate: The climate of Nepal varies according to the elevation. The humid, tropical Terai receives the most monsoonal rain and records the country’s highest temperature. The lower hills (900-2,700meters), including Kathmandu Valley are sub-tropical, with hot summer and moderate winters with only the occasional frost. The higher hills (2,700-4,000 meters) are temperate as the hills get plenty of rain, fog and frost. Above 4,000meters, the mountains have cooler, drier alpine climate and daily temperatures vary wildly depending on sunshine, wind and altitude.

Postal Services:

The Central Post office is located in Kathmandu near Dharahara Tower. It is open Monday to Friday. The opening and closing time from Monday to Thurday is 10:00 am and 5:00 pm respectively; however, on Friday the office is closed after 3:00 pm. Stamps, aerograms and postcards can be purchased from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm. You can enjoy the services like registration and insurance of mail and packages and IRCs exchange. Large parcels are handled by the Foreign Post Office, which is open Monday to Friday 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Express Mail Service (EMS) is available at GPO and at Thamel, Bashantapur and airport postal counters. Postal counters are also situated at the airport in Kathmandu.

Telephone Services:

Both landline and mobile phone services are available in Nepal. Nepal Telecommunication Corporation located at Tripureshwor is a national service provider that provides telephone, fax, telex, STD, ISD and telegraph services. Some private sectors also provide telephone services. Network coverage is good throughout Nepal except in some rural Himalayan places. Almost all the hotels and private communication sectors provide long distance telephone and fax facilities. During your stay in Nepal, you can buy and use a local SIM card, that is prepaid phone cards (requires 2 passport size photos and passport visa copy to purchase the SIM).

The country code for Nepal is 00977 and the area code of Kathmandu is 01. For other inquiries regarding the telephone number 197 can be used. Long distance call rates can be quite expensive, therefore, it is best to use the internet phone. Internet phones are easily accessible in the major cities of Nepal.

Internet Services:

Email and Internet services are very popular in most part of the country these days. All you need to do is find an internet café. Most of the hotels and cafes in the major cities of Nepal provide internet service for the convenience of their guests. The rates in the cities are much lesser compared to the rates in the rural areas. There are stationeries which provide fax, photocopy, and scanning services.

Medical Facilities:

It is very easy to find a hospital or a private clinic in Kathmandu. In fact, Nepal’s top general hospitals and private clinics are located in Kathmandu. These hospitals and private clinics provide top quality service. Other major cities also have a good number of general hospitals. However, in the rural areas of Nepal, health posts have been set up by the government to provide health and medical facilities for both local and visitors. All kinds of medicines are available in Kathmandu. 

Travel Insurance:

Passport and Visa Information:

It is very easy to obtain Nepal’s visa. You may either apply for a visa at your nearest Nepalese Embassy/Consulate or Mission offices in your own country or you can buy this upon your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu. To apply for a visa, you need 2 passport size photographs, Visa fees in US dollars and your passport that is valid for at least 6 months before the trip. However, nationals of SAARC countries (India, Bhutan, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Maldives and Afghanistan) and China do not require any visa to visit Nepal. Transit visa for foreign nationalities is only provided for 3 days. Therefore, visa is required for longer stays. However, for the convenience or foreign nationals, a visa is also provided from the borders listed below:
