Day 01: Arrival day in Kathmandu Amigo Treks and Expedition welcomes you to Nepal. Today, upon your arrival at the Tribhuvan International Airport, you will be greeted by one of the company representatives, who will transfer you from airport to the hotel booked for you in Kathmandu (in a private vehicle). Later, in the evening, a short meeting will be conducted at our office for the briefing regarding the tour. At the same meeting, you will also be introduced to the other team members (especially guides). After the meeting, you will be taken to one of the finest local restaurants in Kathmandu for welcome dinner, where, along with the food, you will also be introduced to the cultural music and ethnic dance of Nepal. But, if your flight arrives late, both the meeting and the dinner will be scheduled for the following day. Overnight in a 3* standard hotel in Kathmandu. Day 02: Kathmandu valley sightseeing tour The capital, Kathmandu, stores brave history and centuries old culture and architecture. Therefore, this day will totally be dedicated to introducing you to these historical, cultural and religious attractions of the Kathmandu Valley. After breakfast at the hotel, we will come to pick you up at your hotel and take you to the attractions like the Temple of Pashupatinath, Swayambhunath, Boudhanath and the Kathmandu Durbar Square. After visiting these places, we will drive you back to your hotel. The night will be spent in a tourist standard hotel in Kathmandu. Meals included: Breakfast (Highlights of the day: Pashuatinath Temple- a Hindu shrine dedicated to the Lord Shiva, who holds the power of destruction; Swayambhunath and Boudhanath Stupa – a Buddhist shrine dedicated to Lord Buddha, who is also known as, ‘the Light of Asia’; the Kathmandu Durbar Square – a square that preserves cultural, historical and architectural masterpieces, some dating back to the 12th century. Optional site: Patan Durbar Square along with other historical masterpieces like the temple of Mahaboudha, Krishan Temple, the Golden Temple and the Kumbeshwor Temple.)
Day 03: Drive to Pokhara Today we will drive to Pokhara (200Kms from Kathmandu and 5-6 hour drive). From Kathmandu, the tourist bus leaves for Pokhara at 7 in the morning. Therefore, after breakfast at the hotel, you will be transferred from your hotel to the bus station to catch a bus to Pokhara. Leaving Kathmandu Valley, the bus will head west on a Prithvi Highway, along the Trisuli River. The bus will also stop for lunch somewhere along the highway. After reaching Pokhara, we will check into the hotel, rest for sometime and hang around the lake area. The night will be spent in a hotel in Pokhara. Meals included: Breakfast (Highlights of the day: Captivating views of river, jungles, waterfalls, hamlets higher up on the hills, green hills, terraced fields with seasonal crop, different vegetations and the busy hotels, motels and lodges along the highway and the views from and around the lake area in Pokhara.)
Day 04: Sunrise at Sarangkot and City tour Today, early in the morning, we will drive to Sarangkot (5 Kms from lake side and 45 mins car ride from Pokhara) for sunrise view. After spending some time, enjoying the sunrise view, we will drive back to the hotel for breakfast. We will then set out for the Pokhara city tour. The target destinations for city tour include Phewa Lake, Seti River Gorge, Devi’s Fall, Bindabasini Temple and the Barahi Temple. We will then come back to the hotel for overnight stay. Meals included: Breakfast (Highlights of the day: Mesmerizing view of morning alpenglow on the snow capped peaks like Annapurna, Machhapuchhre and Dhaulagiri; a relaxed boating trip around the Phewa Lake, a beautifully cascading Devi’s fall, thrilling Gupteswor Cave, breathtaking Seti River Gorge and the beautiful temple of Bindabasini and Barahi.)
Day 05: Drive to Kathmandu Today, after breakfast, you will be transferred from the hotel to the bus station in Pokhara to catch a bus to Kathmandu. The bus leaves around 8 in the morning. We will drive back to Kathmandu enjoying the pleasant scenery along the highway. The bus will stop somewhere along the highway for lunch and then continue towards Kathmandu. Once you reach Kathmandu, you will be transferred to your hotel. You can either rest in the hotel or spend your leisure time enjoying the shopping area in Kathmandu. The night will be spent in a hotel in Kathmandu. Meals included: Breakfast (Highlights of the day: Pleasant scenery along the highway and a leisure evening in Kathmandu.)
Day 06: Sunrise at Nagarkot via Bhaktapur Durbar square Early in the morning, we will take you to Nagarkot for the sunrise view. After enjoying the view, we will have our breakfast and drive to the City of Devotees, Bhaktapur, for Bhaktapur Durbar Square excursion. After a few hours of excursion, we will drive back to the hotel in Kathmandu. In the evening, we will take you to one of the finest Nepali restaurant in Kathmandu for the farewell dinner hosted by the company, where we will also discuss the entire trip and the feedback. The night will be spent in a hotel in Kathmandu. Meals included: Breakfast, Dinner (Highlights of the day: The beautiful view of the early morning sun rising above the mountains; spectacular views of mountains touching the sky; the view of the Kathmandu Valley beneath the viewpoint; the palaces, temples, statues, and other charming piece of medieval art and architecture in the Bhaktapur Durbar Square area and the farewell dinner.)
Day 07: Departure day from Kathmandu This is the last day of this trip in Nepal with Amigo Treks and Expedition. If your flight is scheduled early morning, then one of our company representatives will escort you to the airport, as per your flight departure time. But, if the flight is scheduled later in the evening, you can go shopping and collect a few souvenirs for your friends and family members or simply hang around shopping areas in Kathmandu.
