The trek starts with a flight to Lukla. We walk through Phakding, Monjo, Namche Bazaar, Tashinga, Tengboche, Mende and Thame and finally reach Lobuche, Gorak Shep and the Everest base Camp. The highlight of the trip is definitely reaching the base camp.  Our standard package also includes a sightseeing day tour of some of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Kathmandu. Day 01: Arrival day in Kathmandu Altitude: 1,300m/4,264ft

Welcome to Nepal. Upon your arrival at the Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) in Kathmandu, you will be welcomed by one of the company representatives, who will escort you to the hotel (in a private vehicle) booked for you in Kathmandu. Around the evening, we will conduct a short meeting at our office to brief you about the trip and introduce you to your team members (especially team leader, guides and Sherpas), which will be followed by a welcome dinner at one of the finest local restaurants in Kathmandu. If your flight arrives late, both the meeting and the dinner will be scheduled for the following day. Overnight at a deluxe 5 star hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 02: Sightseeing tour in Kathmandu Altitude: 1,300m/4,264ft

Kathmandu, which is the capital of Nepal, is famous for its art, culture and history. Therefore, we take you for a few hours of sightseeing tour of some of these attractions of Kathmandu. We visit some of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites like the temple of Pashupatinath, Swayambhunath, Boudhanath and the Kathmandu Durbar Square. After spending a few hours on these sites, we meet for pre-trip discussion and finalize the clothing and trekking gears required during the trek. Overnight at a deluxe 5 star hotel in Kathmandu.

(Highlights of the day: Kathmandu Durbar Square - a historical structure that exhibits centuries old cultural wonders, the Pashupatinath Temple – a Hindu shrine dedicated to Lord Shiva, who possesses the power of destruction, Swayambhunath and Boudhanath – a Buddhist shrine dedicated to Lord Buddha, who is also known as the Light of Asia.

Optional site: Patan Durbar Square, Mahabouddha Temple, Krishna Temple, Golden temple and the Kumbeshwor Temple that exhibit the historical masterpieces of the Lalitpur district.)

Day 3: Fly to Lukla (30-35mins flight), trek to Phadking (2652m, 4 hours walk)

Early in the morning, we will fly to the Khumbu Region. Lukla takes about 30-35 minutes on the flight and the view from the plane is magnificent. Your transportation will drop you off at the airport from the hotel and after the necessary formalities; we will board on the plan and head North East towards Lukla. Known as the gateway to Everest, the airport has one of the most audacious take offs and landings. From Lukla, we will meet with our porters and guides and start our trek towards Phadking. We will start off with a four hour hike to Phadking. From Lukla, crossing stone walls, prayer wheels and little settlements, we will finally reach Phadking. We will spend the night at the best hotel here.

Highlights of the day: Captivating view from the airplane to Lukla, the gateway to Everest and first introduction of the Lukla village, ‘Mani’ prayer rocks, Phakding village and ‘Gompas’ monasteries, downhill and flat trail.

Day 04: Trek from Phadking to Namche Bazaar (3440m, 5-6 hours walk)

With a gorgeous view and local breakfast in Phakding, we start our day’s trek to Namche Bazar. Namche is famously known as the Trekker’s Hub as the little town has the majority of facilities in the entire region. The trail from Phadking leads you towards the first suspension bridge of the trek. We pass through settlements such as Zapute, Toktok, Benkar, Chumoa and Monju. We enter the Sagarmatha National Park and after completing the formalities we walk towards the long suspension bridge built across the Dudh Koshi River. We will finally reach Namche Bazar where you will get the first great view of Mt. Everest that is hidden behind Lhotse-Nuptse and other peaks like Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Kusum Khangru. The night will be spent in a beautiful lodge in Namche Bazaar.

Highlights of the day: S settlements like Zapute, Toktok, Benkar, Chumoa and Monju, Sagarmatha National Park, very first view of Mt. Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse and Mt. Kusum Khangru.

Day 05: Hike to Syangboche(3720m), Back to Namche- a day for acclimatization

Acclimatizing in high altitude is crucial to keep moving forward. Adjusting the body to the outside elevation is necessary or else mountain sickness can occur. Namche is an essential acclimatization stop. Nevertheless, although regarded as rest day, it is recommended to stay active than idle. We will hike to Syangboche and visit the capped peaks along with Sherpa culture. You can also simply spend your time enjoying cafés, shops, bakeries and restaurants at Namche Bazaar. This night will also be spent in Namche Bazaar.

 Meals included: Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner

Highlights of the day: Hike to Syangboche, Museum, monasteries, cafes, bakeries, shops, restaurants, post office, hospital, government health post, 24 hour electricity and water supply and high speed internet access in Namche.

Day 06:Trek from Namche Bazaar to Deboche (3820m, 6-7 hours walk)

Enjoying Namche for 2 days and acclimatizing meanwhile, it is now necessary to move ahead. We follow the trail that leads short up towards the ridge and an easy way to Kyamjuma then descends slightly to Dudhkoshi. This trail is accompanied by the splendid view of Mt. Everest, Mt. Nuptse, Mt. Lhotse and Mt. Ama Dablam and a very close up view of Thamserku. This trail also gives you an opportunity to spot wildlife. The trail then reaches Sansa, which is a major trail junction to Gokyo valley and Everest Base Camp. After that a steep ascent will bring you to the famous Tengboche monastery. From here, we will further move up through the stone steps and finally reach Deboche. The night will be spent in Deboche.

Highlights of the day: View of Mt. Everest, Mt. Nuptse, Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Ama Dablam and Mt. Themserku, Rhododendron forest, animals and birds like musk deer, multi-colored pheasant and Thar, and Tengboche – the largest Gompa in the Khumbu region.

Day 07:Trek from Deboche to Pheriche (4240 m, 5-6 hours walk)

After breakfast we will start our trek of the day down to the riverside through lush forest, across the river and take a gradual climb up to the valley’s highest year round settlement of Pangboche. Enjoying the view of Mt. Ama Dablam, we continue ascending to Pheriche where we will spend the night.

Highlights of the day: Lush forest, steep climbs, and magnificent Chortens and Mani walls.

Day 08: Acclimatization Day at Pheriche

Today will be the 2nd acclimatization day for us. Standing at 4240m, Pheriche has beautiful faming with many yaks and other herds. We can also explore the nearby villages on this day. We can spend the day exploring the captivating beauty and the beautiful scenarios.

Highlights of the day: View of Mt. Lhotse and Mt Amadablam, grazing lands on the summer field

Day 09: Trek from Pheriche to Lobuche (4,928m, 5 hours walk)

After breakfast, we start our day’s trek to Lobuche. On crossing a small wooden bridge to Dughla, we climb up the Khumbu Glacier. You can spot other great peaks like Khumbutse, Lingtren, Pumori and Mahalangur Himal. On leaving Khumbu Glacier behind the train gently climbs up to the Lobuche. The night is spent in Lobuche.

Highlights of the day: Memorial of the climbers who lost their life in the Everest Region, The view of Chola Lake along with Mt. Pumori, Khumbutse, Lingtren, and Mahalangur Himal.

Day 10: Trek from Lobuche to Gorak Shep-Everest Base Camp- Gorak Shep (5,320m EBC) /(5,160m Gorekshep)/7-8 hours walk

Today is the day we reach Everest Base Camp. From Lobuche the trail continues to climb to Gorak Shep. We have lunch here and pass the pyramid sign. Just a small ascent from here leads you to 360 degree vista of magnificent snowy mountains. We will walk up through rocky and glacial trails which finally lead to the Everest Base Camp. After enjoying our victory, we will return to Gorekshep.

Highlights of the day: North ridge of Everest along with 360 degree vista of snowy mountains like Mt. Pumori, Mt. Mahalangur, Mt. Lingtern, Mt. Khumbutse, Mt. Nuptse, glimpse of Kala Pattar, rocky and glacial trail and the Everest Base Camp.

Day 11:Hike to Kala Pattar-Pheriche (5,550m/18,204ft Kala Pattar)/ (4,358m/14,295ft Pheriche)/7-8 hours walk

It’s a day to take a dark hike to the Kala Pattar. So, we start early in the morning. After walking upwards for a couple of hours you will reach a famous viewing point of Kala Pattar (Black Rock at 5,545m/18,192ft.),that offers the best views of Mt. Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse, Pumori and Ama Dablam. The view grows golden with the first light of the day which gradually changes back to its original color. We spend some time here appreciating and taking the snaps of the breathtaking snowcapped peaks. Then we hike back to Gorekshep, have breakfast and retrace to Pheriche for overnight stay.

Day 12:Trek to Namche Bazaar (3,400m/11,283ft)/7-8 hours walk

Concerning the Everest Base Camp, we will head down to Namche today. We are in store for a long trek down to Namche thus we will start early after breakfast. The trail drops easy downhill till Pangboche village, over Imja Khola and continues to climb up to Tengboche. Through the DudhKoshi River, we cross the first bridge and pass the village of Tashinga and Sansa and reach Kyangjuma. Namche bazaar is an easy walk from here. Overnight in one of the best hotels in Namche where you can enjoy a hot shower and get back to celebrate in restaurants, cafes and bakeries.

Highlights of the day: passing through Pangboche, Tengboche, Tashinga, Sansa, Khumjung and Namche bazaar, suspension bridges, vertical descent, view of Imja Khola, reaching Namche bazaar.

Day 13:Trek to Lukla (2,652m, 7-8 hours walk)

We will climb down to Lukla from Namche today. Walking past the suspension bridge crossing the DudhKoshi River, we reach Monjo. Getting  out of the National park at Monjo, the walk continues to Phakding. On reaching Lukla we will check in to our hotel and explore the settlement a little.

Highlights of the day: Flat trail, open plains, Rhododendrons and Pine forest, Sherpa villages, prayer stones, and flapping prayer flags.

Day 14: Fly back to Kathmandu (1,300m/4,264ft)

We will fly back to Kathmandu after an adventurous trek. Early morning, we will board on the flight enjoying the scenic beauty. On reaching Kathmandu, a private vehicle will be awaiting to escort you to your hotel.

Day 15: Departure Day
