The Island Peak Climbing and Everest Base Camp Trek is simply one of the best fusion of trekking and mountaineering in Nepal at one go. This particular journey is a journey through some of the most beautiful landscapes and Sherpa villages to the mostly preferred trekking and climbing destinations, the Everest base camp (5,357m) &the Island peak (6,189m) respectively in the Khumbu region. Additional attractions of the trip include a guided sightseeing day tour to some of the world heritage sites in Kathmandu, a hike to Kala Patthar – for the best view of Mt. Everest along with other towering peaks like Pumori, Nuptse, and Ama Dablam, an opportunity to explore the vegetation and wildlife of the Sagarmatha National Park and the beautiful settlement of Sherpas exhibiting their lifestyle, culture, tradition,  and religion en route.

Our 20 days Island Peak Climbing with Everest Base Camp Trekstarts with a flight to Lukla from Kathmandu. We first hike up to the base camp of Everest and then only climb the Island Peak. After climbing the peak we walk back to Lukla to catch a flight to Kathmandu.

The standard package offered by Amigo Treks and Expedition offers the combination of expedition-style and teahouse trekking, which means the package ensures three meals (B, L, D and Tea/coffee) during the trek with accommodation arranged in a basic lodge except for two nights during the trek that are spent in a tented camp. The package only covers bed and breakfast before and after the trek. However, trekkers/climbers can definitely enjoy a free map. Nevertheless, you can enjoy a day tour to some of the major attractions of the Kathmandu Valley. This package, however, can be customized to your requirements, guaranteeing flat rate, special group discount and 100% departure date.

The itinerary is carefully designed, ensuring the necessary acclimatization with an average of 5-6 hour walk every day. Therefore, any physically fit person with sound health and strong mental determination can plan this trip. Moreover, the trek becomes much more enjoyable, if planned at the right time of the year, which is spring (March-May) and autumn (September- November).

However, if you are looking to climb other peaks in the Khumbu region, you can go with our 16 days Lobuche Peak Climbing package or 19 days Mera Peak Climbing. These packages if combined with the Everest base camp trek is considered more satisfying than any other trips in Nepal. Make an informed decision and enjoy the trip!
