Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu Hello and welcome to Kathmandu. The temple city awaits you for an exciting and adventurous journey. We will meet you at the airport and transport you to your hotel so you can check in and freshen up. Later in the evening, we will invite you to a welcome dinner in one of the best local cuisine restaurants, where you will be served traditional Nepalese cuisine. Along with this, we will talk about the trip, and you can ask us any questions you have about it. The night will be spent in Kathmandu.
Day 2: Kathmandu Valley sightseeing Today we will go sightseeing in Kathmandu. Early We'll eat breakfast before heading out to explore Temple's city. We will visit world-famous sites like Kathmandu Durbar Square, Pashupatinath Temple, Boudhanath, and Swayambhunath. Because of their rich history, culture, and pilgrimage visits, these ancient stupas and shrines have been designated as World Heritage Sites. After exploring the city, we'll return to our hotel and spend the night before embarking on a helicopter tour the next day.
Day 3: Helicopter Tour over Everest with Kala Patthar and Gokyo Lake Landing (5,550m/18,204ft Kala Pattar) We will be dropped off at Tribhuvan International Airport in the early morning. After completing the necessary paperwork, we will board our helicopter and fly to the Himalayas. The helicopter will first fly to Lukla, which serves as the gateway to Everest. We'll take a break here so you can take in the serene beauty that welcomes you to the Everest region. We will depart for Everest Base Camp after refueling. We'll arrive in Gokyo Lake and Kala Patthar. Gokyo Lake captures the tranquil beauty of the surrounding mountain massifs, whereas Kala Patthar provides the best view of Mt. Everest and other peaks such as Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse, and Changtse. . Due to acclimatization, we will only stop for a few minutes in these locations. We will then fly back to Lukla to refuel before continuing to Kathmandu. Your tour guide will be waiting for you in the capital city to take you to Dhulikhel, where you will spend the night. The town, located at the intersection of the Arniko Highway, captivates visitors with its green and captivating landscapes. We'll check into the Dwarika's Hotel, a heritage hotel, and relax for the evening.
Day 4: Fly To Paro, BHUTAN We will be dropped off at Tribhuvan International Airport in the early morning for our flight to Paro. When you arrive in Paro, drive to your hotel and then take a walk through the pine forests high above the COMO Uma Paro to the lovely grounds of the fortress, such as the monastery of Zurig Dzong. Cross to Ta Dzong, which houses Bhutan's National Museum and has spectacular views of Paro, and then down to Rinpung Dzong (Fortress on a Heap of Jewels). The trail then crosses the Paro Chhu river via the traditional covered bridge Nyamai Zam, passes the main archery ground, Ugyen Pelri Palace, and enters Paro town. Driving a few kilometers north of Paro, you can visit Kyichu Lhakhang, one of Bhutan's oldest temples with a magical orange tree that bears fruit all year. If time allows, the group can continue up the valley to Drukgyel Dzong, which was built in 1648 by Zhabdrung Ngawang Namgyal to control the northern route to Tibet.
Day 5: Paro To Punakha We will fly you to Punakha via the picturesque Laya village (3,800m). The Layaps call their home 'Beyul,' a Buddhist term for a hidden paradise. They believe that an ancient gate leading to the main village, used by their guardian deities to keep a Tibetan invasion at bay, protects them. At an annual ceremony, the Layaps pay homage to the protective forces, who transformed all the stones and trees around the gate into soldiers to repel the invaders. The mountains of Gangchen Tag (6,784m), Tshendag Gang (6,994m), and Khang Bum (6,494m) can be seen from the west of the village, as can Masa Gang (7,194m). Before your picnic, you can also visit a Laya temple and try yak riding. Your car will be waiting for you at Zomlingthang.
Day 6: Explore Punakha This is a full day of exploring the lush Punakha Valley, which is low enough to grow bananas and oranges at 1,200m. The morning begins with a short walk through farmhouses and rice paddies to Chimmi Lhakhang, a 15th-century fertility temple dedicated to Drukpa Kuenley, a Tibetan Buddhist saint known as the "Divine Madman." This location has long been a destination for couples looking to start a family. The 300-year-old Punakha Dzong comes into view as you travel further down the valley. The Punakha Dzong, which dates back 300 years, comes into view. The fortress, which was built in the 17th century by Zhabdrung Ngawang Namgyal (who founded the Kingdom of Bhutan), once housed the country's government. It is now the winter residence of Je Khenpo, Bhutan's chief abbot, and a retinue of 1,000 monks. Following lunch, the tour takes you on a walk through farmland and homesteads to Khamsum Yulley Namgyal Chorten, a shrine recently built by the royal family.
Day 7: Punakha To Paro You will be flown from Zomlingthang in Punakha to Paro Valley in the morning, providing an aerial view of Punakha Valley and Punakha Dzong. Dochula pass, a road pass snaking up through the breathtaking alpine mountains, will be visible before turning to Thimphu Valley, which is now clearly visible from its northern approach. The Himalayas stretch out before you, including the wonder of Mount Jhomolhari, which rises to 7314m. This magnificent mountain peak marks Bhutan's western border with China. An incredible turquoise lake emerges among these uncharted peaks, climbing even higher in the rugged Himalayas (around the permanent snow line). Yak herder camps can also be seen below. As you return to the Paro Valley, you'll be greeted with aerial views of the ancient Drukgyel Dzong and the iconic Tigers Nest Monastery, which appears from behind its western ridge. Your vehicle will be waiting for you at Paro International Airport for the 10-minute drive to COMO Uma Paro. After returning to your hotel, you can spend the rest of the day relaxing in the peaceful surroundings — or you can try your hand at archery, Bhutan's national sport.
Day 8: Explore Paro The historical Paro Valley is the focus of today's activities, which culminate in a visit to the Taktsang 'Tiger's Nest Monastery, one of Bhutan's most important architectural works. According to legend, Guru Rimpoche (Padmasambhava) landed on the back of a flying tigress here, bringing Buddhism to Bhutan. Tibet. The trip begins early to avoid the hot sun during the two-hour climb to the Tiger's Nest viewpoint, a steep hike that passes through a waterfall and ends among beautiful murals at the monastery's main entrance. If time permits, it is possible to travel further up to visit remote temples. After lunch - either a prepared picnic or from the charming Taktsang cafeteria - you return to COMO Uma Paro, where you can unwind on your final night by relaxing in the steam rooms, gym, and swimming pool, or indulging in one of our signature COMO Shambhala treatments.
Day 9: Fly To Kathmandu and Drive to Dhulikhel
Day 10: Relax Day (Dhulikhel) We'll spend the day discovering Dhulikhel. We will see the sunrise over the Himalayas in the morning before breakfast. If the weather is clear, we can see the Ganesh Himal, Langtang, and even the Rolwaling Himalayas. The view is truly breathtaking and should be documented. We'll have a lavish breakfast when we return to our hotel. We can also take a walk around the area to see the various temples, settlements, and cultures, as well as the beautiful landscape and greenery.
Day 11: Drive to Kathmandu
