Like any other Everest Base Camp Trekking packages, this 12 days Everest Base Camp Trek package is also crafted to take you to the base camp of the world’s highest mountain, the mighty Mt. Everest.
En route to the base camp, from different viewpoints, every trekker can treat their eyes to the magnetic vista of the most celebrated towering peaks including Mt. Everest, Lhotse, Cho Oyu, Makalu, Nuptse, Pumori, Ama Dablam, Lobuche, Taboche, Cholatse, Thamserku, Island Peak, Baruntse and more. While the majestic grandeur of these peaks makes the center piece of this trek, the route equally offers an amalgamation of natural beauty, cultural abundance and a fair share of challenge to provide trekkers incomparable sense of accomplishment. Many describe this trek also as a voyage of self-discovery.
Your Everest Base Camp hike begins with a stirring flight to Lukla. Following the regular Everest Base Camp trekking trail, that is, Lukla-Phakding-Namche-Deboche-Dingboche-Lobuche and Gorakshep, you will walk all the way to the base camp of Mt. Everest, after which you will retrace your steps to Lukla. Making your way through the beautiful Sherpa Villages located inside and outside the Sagarmatha National Park; visiting ancient monasteries that protect centuries old relics, scripture, culture and religious beliefs; hiking through the greenest as well as the driest part of the Everest region and along the highest glacier in the world (the Khumbu Glacier), you will conquer the altitude of 5,545 meters (Kala Patthar- the best viewpoint to see Everest in the entire Everest region) in just 8 days.
So, what makes this package different from other Everest Base Camp hiking packages?
If you choose to go with this package, your trip with Amigo Treks and Expedition will only start with a drive to Ramechhap from Kathmandu, before catching a flight to Lukla (during peak season, that is March-May and October to November) and a direct flight to Lukla from Kathmandu (during low season, that is, June-September and December-February). The transportation, both to and from Ramechhap will be on a sharing basis. The transportation to Ramechhap will leave Kathmandu at 1:00am to help you catch your same day’s flight to Lukla. This package does not include airport transfers, meals and accommodations in Kathmandu, before and after the trek, which gives you the freedom to select and book them as per your requirements and budget.
If you're short on time and want to shorten the trip, you can opt to take a helicopter from Gorakshep back to Kathmandu, allowing you to complete the Everest Base Camp Trek in just 9 days.
Additionally, if you'd prefer Amigo Treks and Expedition to handle everything from your arrival to departure — including airport transfers, accommodations, and meals in Kathmandu — while still completing the trek in less than two weeks time, our 12-Day Everest Base Camp Trek with Helicopter Return might be the perfect option for you.
Additionally, if you are interested in adding a little luxury (private transportation to Ramechhap, 4 Star Hotel accommodation in Kathmandu and upgraded accommodations in the Everest region) to your arrival to departure 12 days Everest Base Trek package, our 12 days Everest Base Camp Deluxe Trek with Helicopter Ride will be the best package for you.
Nevertheless, if you are looking for a regular Everest Base Camp Trek package without helicopter ride back, we have 15 days Everest Base Camp Trek package for you.
Kindly help us with you accommodation details in Kathmandu, so that, we can meet you a day before to brief you regarding the trek, check your equipment, supply necessary equipment, introduce you to your guide and collect the final payment.
Please note: Flights to and from Lukla entirely depend on weather conditions and weather in the mountain region is dicey. Due to this, flight cancellations and delays are very common. Therefore, to be on a safe side, the first thing we recommend is that you plan your trip at the right time of the year. Second, add at least one extra day to your trip and final, buy the insurance policy that covers for trip cancellation as well as interruption.

Very Impressed!
We just completed the Short Everest Base camp Trek. It was very well organised. The accomodation and food was really good. Bhim our guide went above and beyond ensuring that we were well looked after and safety was a priority. Our flights got cancelled in Lukla and he arranged a helicopter to get us back to Kathmandu. On arrival Tikka at the Amigo office organised refunds for flight tickets without hesitation. Very professional organisation. I will use them again when I return to Nepal. Highly recommended.
Great 10 day trek with Hari and Issoor. It was tough but definately worth it. We had great weather which made for spectacular views throughout the trip. We were impressed with the smooth logistics in the tea houses so high up in the mountains. The hot shower in Namche was very much appreciated!
Amazing! Trekked over 12 days to Everest base camp and had a great time due to the people at Amigo Treks and Expedition. They were so caring, always making sure our food arrived on time, our rooms were ready when we arrived in each town, we had enough safe drinking water each day, that our luggage was well looked after etc. They were so organised, providing sleeping bags and down jackets, picking us up in Kathmandu and taking us to the airport and organising our flight to Lukla. By the end of our trip, our guide, my dad and I had become very close, sharing jokes and getting each other's humour. Overall I cannot imagine doing this trip and not having this company to assist us. Highly highly highly recommend. You'll be well looked after! Shoutout to our guide Rajan Poudyal. You made our experience so enjoyable.
Myself and my girlfriend take part of Everest Base Camp short trek (12 days) with very high satisfaction. From the beginning during the planning of the trip Mr Tika support us with very reactive answer and information. Our Guide Himal has been very patience and give us all the best support during the trek, with the food, with all the needed information and trying to be always sure we had enough blanket and our rooms were fine. Always give us best support also once we felt a bit of altitude sickness and also after the trek help us to get the right airport entrance and direction in order to get our international flight to go back to Italy. Special thanks also to Mon who helped us carrying our big bags always with a smile and some grilled corn to share during the trek. Without those two guys our experience for sure wont’ be so much great as it has been. Again thank you Amigo Treks team, happy to have share this experience with you and for sure when and if we will back to Nepal or Tibet we look forward to get you support again!

I did the 12 days Everest Base Camp trek. The entire experience was excellent. The guide and porters were knowledgable and accomadoting to our particular needs. The lodging and food was very good. I would rate the overall experience as excellent and do not hesitate to refer my friends to Amigo Trekking. This guys do the right thing and can trust. Good luck further guys.
After years of exploring various destinations, Everest Base Camp remained on our bucket list as that one intimidating challenge. The logistics alon
