Bhutan Tours

Bhutan, a global leader in sustainability, is also the first carbon-negative country in the world. It’s also the only country in the world that measures Gross National Happiness instead of GDP, placing people, planet and purpose at the heart of its progress. Therefore, it stands as a must-visit destination for every conscious traveler seeking meaningful and transformative tour experience.

Bhutan Tours by Amigo Treks and Expedition is an assortment of multi-day Bhutan tour packages, each uniquely crafted to showcase this magical kingdom’s cultural heritage, breathtaking landscapes, and spiritual essence, while offering travelers a deeply immersive and seamless experience.

Whether a brief two-day getaway or an extended journey, each standard package is meticulously curated, including handpicked destinations and attractions, to offer a seamless blend of natural beauty, cultural richness and spiritual depth to travelers planning their next unforgettable holiday in this magical kingdom of South Asia. However, recognizing that each traveler has distinct interests, our Bhutan tour packages can be individually tailored to focus exclusively on cultural exploration, spiritual experiences, natural landscapes or even active adventures.

Moreover, for those who’ve only known Bhutan as a cultural tour destination, we invite you to explore its breathtaking trekking and hiking routes with our Bhutan trekking and hiking packages - experiences that will transform your view of the kingdom forever.

The best time to take a Bhutan tour is during spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November), when the weather is pleasant, skies are clear and the country is alive with vibrant festivals and natural beauty. However, should you prefer the tour, trek or hike to be centered around Paro, Thimphu and Punakha, you can experience  the magic of Bhutan any time of the year- each season offering its own charm and beauty.

Some essential requirements for a Bhutan Tour are:

  1. Passport (valid for at least 6 months beyond your travel dates).

  2. Bhutan Visa prior to arrival (except for the citizens of India, Bangladesh and the Maldives). Included in the package price offered by Amigo Treks and Expedition.

  3. Confirmed Tour booking with a Licensed Bhutanese Local Tour Operator or their international partner (Independent travel is not allowed)

  4. Sustainable Development Fee (SDF) of USD 100 per day (currently) as a part of “High Value, Low Impact” tourism policy. Included in the package price offered by Amigo Treks and Expedition.

  5. Travel Insurance covering medical emergencies and trip cancellations/interruptions.

  6. Flight tickets (if starting the tour with a flight to Paro). Not included in the package price offered by Amigo Treks and Expedition, but can be arranged at additional cost.

  7. Travel permits (applicable for some restricted regions like Haa or Bhunthang). Included in the package price offered by Amigo Treks and Expedition.

Bhutan tours by Amigo Treks and Expedition are available for both solo and group travelers. Budget or premium versions of the standard Bhutan tours are available to suit different travel styles, offering flexibility in accommodation, services and overall experience without compromising the essence of the journey.

Please select a suitable itinerary from the standard packages listed below, or provide us with your specific requirements so we may design a personalized Bhutan tour that aligns with your preferences.
