Day 1 : Kathmandu (1300) -Kerung Border (145 Km) 06-07 hours drive Begin your journey in Kathmandu, the bustling capital of Nepal. We'll take you on a scenic 6-7 hour drive to Kerung Border, covering 145 km of picturesque terrain.
Day 2 : Kerung - Tingri (4300m) / Lhatse (4,350m): 225 Km/244 Km From Kerung, we'll drive you to Tingri or Lhatse, two stunning high-altitude towns situated at an elevation of 4,300m and 4,350m, respectively. Enjoy the breathtaking scenery as we travel 225 km or 244 km, depending on your destination.
Day 3 : Tingri/Lhaste - Xigatse (3,900 M): 244 Km After breakfast, we drive to Shigatse from the north side of the road to see the clear view of the massive Thangka wall. En-route visit the popular Tashilunpo monastery and set of Panchen Lama until they died in 1989. After 6 hours drive stops at Shigatse overnight.
Day 04: Shigatse to Gyantse (3,950m/12,955)-90KM After breakfast visit, the monastery and open market at Shigatse and the surrounding area then drive to Gyantse. Visit Khumbu Stupa and Phalkot monastery in the evening and stay overnight at Gyantse.
Day 05: Gyantse to Lhasa (3,650m/11,970)-259KM Today we drive to Kamba la pass and Karo la which have spectacular views of mountains and dry valleys to reach Lhasa. There is a very beautiful lake (Yamdrok Tso) on the way. After the cross, the Yarlung Tsangpo also called Brahamapurta River you will see the distant view of Potala Palace. Stop the capital of Tibet at Lhasa overnight.
Day 06/07: Lhasa Sightseeing Tour Our tour stops at Lhasa for 2 days to discover Lhasa including the popular Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple, Norbu Linka, Drepung monastery, Sera Monastery, and Lhasa market. It covers all the interesting places in Lhasa. Stay overnight.
Day 06/07: Lhasa Sightseeing Tour Our tour stops at Lhasa for 2 days to discover Lhasa including the popular Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple, Norbu Linka, Drepung monastery, Sera Monastery, and Lhasa market. It covers all the interesting places in Lhasa. Stay overnight.
Day 08: Lhasa to Kathmandu Trans Himalayan Flight (1,300m/4,264 ft) Today is the last day of the Tibet tour. In the morning we will drive to the Gongkar airport of Lhasa which is an hour and 20 minutes drive from the hotel to take a flight towards Kathmandu. It is one of the most scenic flights in the world. You are suggested to take the right-hand side of the seat in a plane to enjoy the beauties of the Himalayas. We would pick you up from the airport and transfer you to the hotel if you require. If not our trip ends at Lhasa airport but we are glad to meet you in Kathmandu to get feedback on the trip.
