Everest Three High Passes Trek in the Khumbu region of Nepal offers one of the greatest experiences of incredible scenery while conquering the altitude of the three high passes: Renjo La (5,360m), Cho La (5,420m), and Kongma La (5,535m) along with Kala Patthar (5,545m) and the base camp of Mt. Everest (5,364m). The altitudes make the hike to the 3 High Passes of Everest one of the most demanding treks in the Everest region. Nevertheless, the Everest 3 Passes trekking, fully satisfies trekkers with the experience of natural and cultural beauty offered by the Khumbu region of Nepal.

Furthermore, Sagarmatha National Park – a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Kala Patthar – the best viewpoint of Mt. Everest and other peaks towering above 8000m from sea level, view of Island Peak, Ngozumpa and Khumbu glacier, Gokyo valley, Lakes, and RI are major highlights of Everest 3 High Passes trekking. This hike also provides an opportunity to meet friendly Sherpas, as well as learn about their scenic settlement, lifestyle, culture, and tradition.

March-May & September-December is the best time to plan Everest Three Passes treks, as one can also participate/observe the Tengboche Mani Rimdhu festival and dance (October) and  Dumje festival (April). Nonetheless, Amigo Treks and Expedition can design a perfect package throughout the year. Previous experience is not required; however, sound health, excellent stamina, and mental and physical determination are required to complete this Everest 3 High Pass hike.

The standard 19 days Everest Three High Passes Trek itinerary by Amigo Treks and Expedition is a guided trek (by the team leader and local Sherpas) ensuring proper acclimatization with an average of 5-7 hour walk in a day. However, the itinerary can be fully customized to your entire requirements. The package price includes full board during the trek and bed and breakfast in Kathmandu. A free map is also provided for the convenience to trace the 3 passes trekking trail. Amigo guarantees special group discounts with a 100% departure date on all custom packages.

After a 30-35 min flight to Lukla, the Everest 3 high passes hiking trail continues till Namche from where the trail turns west to follow a clockwise trail that passes through different small settlements, forests, high passes, rivers, glaciers, lakes, and hills making a complete small circle at Namche. From Namche, the trail will take you to Lukla and the trek will end with a scenic flight to Kathmandu.

Note:
Although we try to depart on the scheduled itinerary, we cannot promise to guarantee a fixed departure due to flight cancellation, and delays. Thus, we request you to plan out extra few days in case the weather does not stay in our favor.  Since your safety is our uttermost priority, we also request you to follow your team leaders and your guides’ since they are trained and experienced in this particular area.
