Experience the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra, a spiritual journey to the sacred sites of Tibet, organized by Amigo Treks and Expedition. This pilgrimage combines adventure, culture, and spirituality, all set against the stunning backdrop of the Himalayas.
This journey is not just a trek but a sacred pilgrimage to Mount Kailash, a peak deeply revered by Hindus, Buddhists, Jains, and Bon practitioners. The 3-day walk, known as the Kora, around the mountain, is one of the most spiritually important pilgrimages in the world. Along the way, you’ll visit Lake Manasarovar, where the holy waters are believed to purify the soul and offer spiritual blessings.
The Kailash Mansarovar Yatra also provides a rich cultural experience. You will explore ancient monasteries, visit the ruins of the old Guge Kingdom, and spend time in traditional Tibetan villages, immersing yourself in the unique history and culture of Tibet. Your journey begins in Lhasa, the spiritual heart of Tibetan Buddhism. Here, you’ll see famous landmarks like the Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple, and Sera Monastery, each giving you a glimpse into Tibet's deep religious traditions.
The trek itself is a challenging adventure. As you cross the Dolma La Pass at 5,636 meters, you’ll be surrounded by breathtaking views and a profound sense of spiritual energy. This journey will test your endurance and reward you with deep spiritual insights and stunning scenery.
Starting in Lhasa, you’ll spend the first few days exploring the city’s spiritual and cultural treasures. Then, you’ll fly to Ngari, visit the Guge Kingdom and Toling Monastery, and head to Darchen, the base for your pilgrimage. Over the next three days, you’ll trek the Kailash Kora, crossing challenging terrain like the Dolma La Pass and visiting the sacred Lake Manasarovar. The journey ends with your return to Lhasa, where you’ll depart, carrying with you the spiritual insights and memories of this extraordinary experience.
