If you miss the opportunity to get closer to the mighty Mount Everest, the world's highest peak, your trip to Nepal will be incomplete. Getting to the Everest Base Camp normally takes at least 12 days, which may not be feasible for all visitors to Nepal. The current state of your health, level of physical fitness, and the passage of time may all be obstacles.
Taking these factors into consideration, Amigo Treks and Expeditions would like to offer the Everest Base Camp Helicopter tour package, which is a perfect solution for any type of traveler who wishes to see and get closer to Mount Everest.
Our Everest Base Camp Helicopter Tour includes helicopter rides as per the itinerary, private pick up and drop off service from and to the hotel in Kathmandu, and airport departure tax. If you are looking for additional services, we can make the arrangement (extra charges applicable). We also make sure that the helicopters are equipped with a set of Oxygen system consisting of 4-5 liter cylinder of mountaineering oxygen, fitted with a regulator and hi-tech top-out mask, to provide instant help in case of emergencies.
Ever dreamed of flying around Mount Everest? Your dream can now come true with a helicopter tour to the world's highest peak, which is situated on the border of Nepal and Tibet.
This tour entirely depends on the weather conditions in the Himalayas. However, Spring and Autumn are the best seasons to plan this exhilarating trip to Nepal.
Early in the morning, a private car will arrive at your hotel to pick you up and transport you to Kathmandu's airport.
6:15 – 6:45 AM Formalities at The Airport.
A representative from the company will assist you with the check-in process. Make sure you have your passport with you. An airport officer will check your documents for formalities after you check in.
After that, we'll meet with the captain and board the helicopter. We encourage you to clear all flight-related questions during the meetup so that you can cooperate and contribute to a good trip.
6:45 – 7:40 AM: Fly to Lukla (2,845 meters)
After completing your airport formalities, you will board your flight to Lukla. As you take off, you will be greeted by spectacular views of green hills, and after passing through Dolakha village, you will arrive at Jiri village. The helicopter ride continues over the Lamjura-La Pass (3,550 m), which is covered in dense rhododendron forests.

After refilling the fuel at Lukla, we will now fly back to the airport in Kathmandu. From the airport, you will be transferred to your hotel in a private car.
The Everest region is, as one might expect, cold all year. It is especially important to pack appropriately for the Everest Base Camp Heli Tour. It is necessary to pack appropriately due to the high-intensity UV rays at high altitudes. Here is a packing list for the Everest Base Camp Helicopter Tour that includes all of the necessary/recommended equipment:
Sunglasses with UV protection that are windproof and down jackets
It is important to note that the above gears will suffice because carrying too much weight will increase the weight. We recommend carrying only the necessary clothing items.
How high can we take the helicopter to fly around Mount Everest?
So, during the Everest Base Camp Helicopter ride, we will fly between 5,000 and 5,500 meters in altitude. Please keep in mind, however, that the helicopter's flying height will also be determined by engine capability.
How long will we be able to stay at Kala Patthar or Base Camp?
The helicopter engine will continue to run while you enjoy the beauty of the Himalayas, giving you 5 to 10 minutes.
Please keep in mind that staying at Kala Patthar for an extended period is dangerous due to the low oxygen level at such a high altitude, and there is a high risk of altitude sickness. To be safe, we will also bring an oxygen cylinder.
Is an oxygen cylinder available in the helicopter in case it is required?
Yes, an oxygen cylinder will be available in the helicopter in case of an emergency. However, an Everest base camp helicopter tour is a simple way to explore Everest and other Himalayan peaks, and you usually don't need to use oxygen.
Does the weather have an impact on the Everest Base Camp Helicopter Tour?
Yes, the weather will have an impact on the Everest Base Camp Helicopter Tour. Clear weather in the mountains is required to see the best view during your flight. As a result, the flight may be delayed due to inclement weather.
What is the minimum age for an Everest base camp helicopter tour in Nepal?
One of the commercial flights to the Everest region is the Everest base camp helicopter tour. It is a simple and comfortable helicopter tour in a luxurious setting. We will prioritize customer health; if any of our clients feel uncomfortable, Captain will Start Descend Right away. As a result, we recommend this Everest Base Camp Helicopter tour to people of all ages.
We chose Nepal for our first trip in 2022, and a visit to the Everest Base Camp was a must for us.
Amigo Treks & Expedition was chosen because of its seriousness, flexibility, and care. It involves flying a helicopter above 5000 meters, which necessitates the use of a dependable operator. This trip was incredible! I would highly recommend this experience to anyone. The views are incredible, and the helicopter ride is enjoyable and safe.
We chose a tour that included Gokyo Lake, which was fantastic and well worth the extra money.
I can't recommend Nepal enough; the people are friendly, and a visit to the everest is a must. Niti and his team at Amigo Treks & Expedition are the best at this.
I took a helicopter tour of Everest Base Camp and Kalapatthar. Amazing experience, breathtaking views; you won't be able to put your camera down. Our helicopter adventure took us from Kathmandu to Lukla (refueling), to Syangboche, to Kala Patthar (highest point, 17,500 feet), to the Everest View Hotel (breakfast), and back to Kathmandu. The views from Syangboche, Kala Patthar, and the Everest View Hotel are spectacular.
Niti's communication and professionalism put me at ease with this company.
I travel from the US to India once or twice a year for work, and sometimes I will take a short vacation from India to an area I would not normally go to. This past October I decided I would travel to Nepal for a few days of vacation after concluding my work in Bangalore.
I decided I wanted to see some of the Himalayas, including the Everest region if possible. An internet search showed the possibility of an Everest Base Camp helicopter tour, which sounded perfect for a short 4-day trip to Nepal.
I contacted about 10 different trekking and touring companies, but Amigo Trekking was one of only about 3-4 places that responded back to my inquiry. Right away, Niti Sharma was very helpful, explaining what the possibilities were for me and my time constraints.
When I stated to her (and the others) that the original price was too high for me, she was the only one who came back with an alternative idea that also was actually better, as the weather in Lukla is unreliable and I would need to spend more time out there than I originally anticipated.
She suggested that instead of me taking a helicopter from Kathmandu and back in one day that I fly to Lukla on a small plane, stay the night in Lukla, then return the next day to Kathmandu. This gave me a much larger window to fly the helicopter on the Everest tour around any possible weather issues that might arise.
And this alternative also met my price budget better at the same time, so I decided to go with it. She was totally correct! In the end, all aspects of the trip were great and I saw everything I wanted to see (and more - I loved the experience of flying in and out of Lukla on a plane), but I did need the extra day due to rapidly changing weather conditions in Lukla.
So in the end, I would highly recommend working with Niti at Amigo Trekking for a trip like this one. She designed the perfect 2-day trip within my budget, all arrangements were correctly made, and I had a fantastic experience that I will never forget. Thanks, Niti and Amigo
We did Everest Base Camp helicopter tour on September 2017. It was very unforgettable experience and wonderful trip to the base camp at very short time. The pilots & other staff were friendly and the service was great. We recommend Amigo Treks & Expedition for Helicopter Tour.
We used Amigo Treks for our trek to EBC in Sept-Oct 2021. The planning started in Mar-April 2021 in the middle of the pandemic so
