Day 04: Hike to Poon Hill (3,210m/10,531ft) and trek to Tatopani (1,190m/3,904ft),(14km),(6-7h) Get prepared for the longest day of this trip; first early morning hike to Poon Hill and then trek down to Tatopani. Begin the day with an early morning hike to Poon Hill, where you’ll witness the breathtaking sunrise illuminating the Annapurna and Dhaularigi ranges in golden light. This special view from Poon Hill is ephemeral, therefore, getting there on time is necessary. At the summit of Poon Hill, you’ll be greeted by a breathtaking spectacle—the sun slowly rising over the majestic Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges. In one sweeping panorama, an awe-inspiring array of Himalayan giants unfolds before you: Dhaulagiri, Tukuche, Thapa Peak, Nilgiri (South, Central, and North), Tilicho Peak, Patal Hiunchuli, Annapurna South, Baraha Shikhar, Annapurna I, Singu Chuli, Tharpu Chuli, Tare Kang, Gangapurna, Annapurna III, Gandarwa Chuli, Machhapuchhre, Mardi Himal, Annapurna IV, Annapurna II, and Lamjung Himal. Take your time to soak in this unforgettable view, capture it through your lens, and then make your way back to Ghorepani for a well-earned breakfast. Lodges in Ghorepani offer a mix of freshly made local and international breakfast options, perfect for refueling before the next leg of your trek. After a hearty breakfast in Ghorepani, you will start your trek to Tatopani. The trail from Ghorepani to Tatopani offers a dramatic shift in scenery as you descend from cool alpine forest into the warm, subtropical valley of the Kali Gandaki River. The day begins with a steady descent through dense rhododendron and oak forest, passing through charming hillside villages like Shika and Chaitre, where you’ll catch glimpses of terraced fields and traditional Magar homes. As the trail continues downward, the vegetation changes noticeably-lush greenery, banana trees and warmer air mark your approach towards lower elevation. Gradually leaving behind the towering snow peaks you will now enter the gorge carved by the Kali Gandaki, the deepest in the world. After about 6-7 hours of trekking, you arrive at Tatopani. This village that lies on the way to Lower Mustang is famed for its natural hot spring, perfect for relaxing your tired leg muscles after a long day’s walk. Nestled along the riverbank, Tatopani offers a peaceful ambiance with several teahouses and lodges providing accommodation. You will check into one of these lodges for dinner and overnight stay. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner
Day 05: Drive to Muktinath (5-6h) Your journey into Lower Mustang begins from here. Today you will drive from Tatopani to Muktinath. Revered by both Hindus and Buddhists, Muktinath is one of the sacred and the most important pilgrimage sites in the country. The journey from Tatopani to Muktinath is an overland adventure through the dramatic landscapes of the Kali Gandaki Valley. Departing the lush, subtropical surrounding of Tatopani, the road gradually climbs through a changing landscape, where lush hills give way to arid cliffs, deep gorges and windswept valleys. Following the thrilling jeep track that runs along the Kali Gandaki River, passing through picturesque villages like Ghasa, Lete, Marpha and Jomsom, each having its own cultural charm and distinct architecture and enjoying the expansive view of the rain-shadow region of Mustang with snow-clad Dhaulagiri and Nilgiri towering in the background, you will drive to Muktinath located in the barren and windswept landscape at the altitude of 3,760 meters above sea level. This drive approximately takes about 5-6 hours. In Muktinath, you will check into one of the lodges for dinner and overnight stay. Around late afternoon take a short stroll if you are up for the views of stark mountains, spiritual silence, cultural richness as well as a sense of deep serenity. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner
Day 06: Visit Muktinath, Kaagbeni, Lubra Valley and drive to Marpha This day’s activities may commence either prior to or following breakfast, according to your preference. In the morning, you will visit the temple of Muktinath, one of the 108 Divya Desams, or sacred Vishnu temples for Hindus. It is also known as Muktishetra, which means “the place of liberation”. For the followers of Buddhism, the temple is associated with goddess Tara. After visiting the 108 spouts surrounding the temple and enjoying the views, you will visit the Jwala Mai Temple, which is a small, but very significant temple located within the Muktinath Temple complex. The temple is revered for its eternal natural flame (jwala) that not only has been burning continuously for centuries, but emerging from rock, coexists with water flowing from a small stream, symbolizing the unity of elements. After exploring the two sacred sites in Muktinath, you will drive down to Kagbeni—a revered pilgrimage site where Hindus perform ancestral rituals for the departed. Kagbeni holds equal significance for Buddhist followers, thanks to the presence of the Kag Chode Thupten Samphel Ling Monastery, a key spiritual center established around 1429 AD. Kagbeni also serves as the gateway to the culturally rich region of Upper Mustang. Following the visit of Kagbeni, you will now drive to Lubra Village- a pristine 12th century village with only about 14 houses that still follow Bonism- a Tibetan born, ancient, animistic, indigenous religion that incorporating Buddhism and Shamanism mainly worships nature-based deities. After visiting these important locations in Lower Mustang, you will drive down to a very picturesque village, Marpha, which is also known as the apple capital of the nation. The village features charming stone-paved lanes, white-washed houses and serene Himalayan backdrop, making it a perfect place to spend a night after the day’s tour. Once in Marpha, you will check into the lodge, and if you are still energetic, you can explore this interesting village and try out some freshly picked apples and apple products. Overnight in a lodge in Marpha. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner
Day 07: Drive to Pokhara (5h) Marpha to Pokhara is only about a 5 hour drive, therefore, you will spend the morning enjoying the mesmerizing surrounding views and enjoying a leisurely breakfast to start your journey to Pokhara. This journey will be in a private vehicle. Bidding farewell to enchanting landscape and the views of Lower Mustang, an adventure-packed drive will bring you back to Pokhara. In Pokhara, you will be dropped to the pre-booked hotel, where after checking in formalities, you can spend the evening at leisure. Meals: Breakfast and Lunch

Starting after breakfast, your driver will first take you to Pumdikot- a peaceful hilltop destination, known for its towering Shiva statue and the panoramic views of Annapurna and Machhapuchhre and the valley of Pokkhara. After spending some time here, your driver will take you to the World Peace Pagoda- a serene Buddhist monument, built as a symbol of peace and harmony, perched atop a hillside overlooking Phewa Lake and Annapurna range. It is one of the most favored sites for meditation and photography. After visiting the peace pagoda, you will then drive down to Davi’s fall- a very popular waterfall in Pokhara and Gupteshwor Cave- one of the longest caves in Nepal that also houses the shrine of different Hindu gods and goddesses. This cave is located just across the street from the fall. After visiting these two sites, your drive will now take you to visit the International Mountaineering Museum, an exploration of which gives you insight into the culture of Himalayan communities, mountaineering history and famous national and international mountaineers. From here you will drive to Phewa Lake to enjoy a one hour serene boat ride and visit the Tal Barahi Temple. In the evening, enjoy the lakeside aarati programme before heading back to the hotel for overnight stay. Meals: Breakfast

Under normal traffic conditions and barring any road construction delays, the drive takes around 7 hours. Along the way, enjoy the captivating views of Nepal's rural landscapes one last time. There will be scheduled stops for lunch and restroom breaks as needed. Upon arrival in Kathmandu, you'll be transferred to your hotel and assisted with the check-in process.
