The Everest Helicopter Tour is probably one of the most exciting tours in the world. This tour in Nepal takes you from your hotel in Kathmandu to the Mt. Everest Base Camp and back in just 4 hours. It’s a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to admire the beauty of Mt. Everest from the very famous viewpoint and the highest point of Everest base camp trekking, Kala Patthar, in the Khumbu region of Nepal. Along with Mt. 6:00 AM: Hotel pick-up in Kathmandu in a Private Car. The driver will transfer you to Kathmandu airport
6:15-6:45 AM: Check-in Process and Meet Captain at Kathmandu airport. Complete all airport formalities by providing a passport and other documents.
6:45-7:40 AM: Board the plane and fly to Lukla (2,845 meters). Enjoy the view of green hills, and Dolakha village. The helicopter will fly over Lamjura-La pass(3,550 m) which is surrounded by rhododendron forest.
7:40-8:00 AM: Upon landing in Lukla(2,820 m) which has the smallest airstrip in the world, experience Sherpa culture. Refueling of the helicopter will take around 15-20 minutes.
8:00-8:20 AM: Take a flight from Lukla to Everest base camp and Kalapatthar and land at syangboche. Flight time is around 15-20 minutes.
8:30-8:45 AM: Fly to Hotel Everest View(3,950 m) from Kala Patthar. Have breakfast at Everest View Hotel for 30-45 minutes. Enjoy the view of Mount Everest and surrounding peaks.
8:45-9:30 AM: Have breakfast at Hotel Everest View. Relish delicious breakfast while viewing Mount Everest and the surrounding Himalayan range.
9:30-10:00 AM: Fly back to Lukla from Hotel Everest View. Refuel in Lukla for 15-20 minutes. enjoy an aerial view of the Himalayas.
10:00-11:00 AM: Fly back to Kathmandu airport from Lukla.
You will be transferred to your hotel in Kathmandu by private car. You can reflect on the amazing adventure experience during the drive back to the hotel.
Other people joining the tour might or might not be from our company. Since it’s on a group joining basis, other people might either be from another company or the helicopter company itself.
Since this is not a private tour, while you are having breakfast at Shyangboche (where the helicopter stops for about 40 minutes), the helicopter might be used for rescue (in case of any emergency) and you might have to wait a little longer.
The tour might not begin exactly on time if all the members of the group do not arrive on time. The starting time also depends on the weather in Kathmandu and in the Everest Region and air traffic.
The national park entrance fee is to be paid by the customer in Cash, in the Everest region, NPR 5500 per person will be applicable.
