The Everest Helicopter Tour is probably one of the most exciting tours in the world. This tour in Nepal takes you from your hotel in Kathmandu to the Mt. Everest Base Camp and back in just 4 hours. It’s a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to admire the beauty of Mt. Everest from the very famous viewpoint and the highest point of Everest base camp trekking, Kala Patthar, in the Khumbu region of Nepal. Along with the Mt. Everest (8,848m), this tour will also allow you to enjoy the mesmerizing view of a series of glorious mountains – Gauri Shanker, Langtang, Ganesh Himal, Dorje Lakpa, Shisa Pangma, Melung Tse, Jugal, Ama Dablam, Cho Oyu, Lhotse and Makalu and the astounding hills, rivers, glaciers, lakes, the settlement of Sherpa people and most of the Khumbu region. We also make sure that the helicopters are equipped with a set of Oxygen system consisting of 4-5 liter cylinder of mountaineering oxygen, fitted with a regulator and hi-tech top-out mask, to provide instant help in case of emergencies.

Early in the morning, a private car will come to pick you up at your hotel and transfer you to the airport in Kathmandu. Shortly after the departure formalities at the airport, the helicopter leaves for Lukla, the gateway to the Everest Base Camp. After refilling the fuel at Lukla, the helicopter heads towards the Everest Base Camp. The helicopter will be at Kala Patthar, depending upon the weather condition. At the base camp/Kala Patthar, the helicopter will only stop for 5 minutes. You can enjoy the surrounding view and take pictures quickly. After enjoying the majestic view of Mt. Everest and other snow-capped peaks, the helicopter will now head to Syangboche for breakfast (30-45 minutes). The breakfast will be served at the Everest View Hotel. Along with the breakfast, you will once again get a chance to enjoy the beautiful Mt. Everest with its range. After breakfast, we will fly back to Lukla to refill the fuel required to get back to Kathmandu. After refilling the fuel at Lukla, we will now fly back to the airport in Kathmandu. From the airport, you will be transferred to your hotel in a private car.

Other people joining the tour might or might not be from our company. Since it’s on a group joining basis, other people might either be from another company or the helicopter company itself.
Since this is not a private tour, while you are having breakfast at Shyangboche (where the helicopter stops for about 40 minutes), the helicopter might be used for rescue (in case of any emergency) and you might have to wait a little longer.
The tour might not begin exactly on time if all the members of the group do not arrive on time. The starting time also depends on the weather in Kathmandu and in the Everest Region and air traffic.
The national park entrance fee is to be paid by the customer in Cash, in the Everest region, NPR 5500 per person will be applicable.
