Enjoy an exciting off-the-beaten-path trekking adventure into the remote and secluded Tsum Valley deep within the Manaslu Region. Tsum Valley with Manaslu Circuit Trek takes you to the Ganesh, Sringi, and Boudha Himal ranges' foothills. Trek through the rugged Himalayan trails to learn about the Tsumbas' native culture.

Tsum Valley is a remote Himalayan destination near Tibet. Up until 2008, the valley was restricted to trekking. Tsum is divided into two valleys: Upper Tsum and Lower Tsum. Both valleys are home to the Tibetan-Buddhist ethnic Tsumbas. The region still has traces of the Bon-Po religion, despite its scarcity. From Tsum to Manaslu, the trek follows the popular Kyimu Lung pilgrimage route.

The trek begins with a drive from Kathmandu to Soti Khola via Arughat Bazaar. You'll begin your trek along the Manaslu Circuit Trail, passing through the charming villages of Machha Khola, Philim, Chumling, and Chhkangparo on your way to Mu Gompa (3700m). Mu Gompa is the largest Buddhist monastery in the entire region.

It reflects the Buddhist culture's ancient heritage and has a long history. Another popular monastery in the area where you can learn about the local Buddhist culture and way of life is Rachen Gompa. The trail continues through traditional Tibetan-style villages, passing through Dumje, Lokpa, Deng, Ghap, and Lho on its way to Samagaon. Before heading down to Dharapani via Bimthang, you'll cross the highest mountain pass, Larkya La (5160m). The Ganesh Himal, Manaslu, Sringi Himal, Annapurna, and Boudha Himal ranges can be seen from the trail.
