The Rolwaling Tashi Labsta Trek is a difficult trek in the most isolated area of Eastern Nepal. You enter the valley on the Rolwaling trek, which is located deep within the gorge between the Langtang Himal in the west and the Everest region in the east. The trek also takes you to the Tashi Labsta Pass, one of Nepal's highest and most difficult mountain passes at 5755 meters.
Rolwaling valley is one of Nepal's most remote regions, and the locals refer to it as "the Grave." Rolwaling Himal is located along the Tibetan border in the north and contains three distinct peaks: Melungtse (7181m), Melungtse II (7023m), and Gaurishankar (7134m). The Rolwaling Mountains are the setting for the stories of Yeti, the Abominable Snowman. The pristine valley is also rich in biodiversity, with numerous flora and fauna species.
After a scenic 9-10 hour drive to Jagat Bhanjyang in Eastern Nepal, the trek begins. You'll gradually make your way into the remote Rolwaling valley. You'll travel through large gorges and glacial rivers to Tsho Rolpa Lake via Simi Gaon, Kyalche, Beding, and Na (4580m). You'll start your trek uphill through the snow to cross the region's highest pass, Tashi Labsta (5755m).
From the summit, you can see a magnificent panorama of mountains such as Mount Everest (8848m), Gauri Shankar (7134m), and Langtang Lirung (7227m). After crossing the pass, you'll continue trekking through the Everest region's Sagarmatha National Park. The route descends to Namche Bazaar via Thame. The trek ends in Lukla, and the trip concludes when you return to Kathmandu from there.
