Ghorepani-Poon Hill with Ghandruk Trek is one of the best short treks in the Annapurna region in Nepal that offers trekkers a perfect blend of nature and culture. Poon Hill, the major attraction of this trek takes trekkers to the altitude of 3,193 meters (also the highest you will go on this trek), to present them a breathtaking panorama of the Dhaulagiri and Annapurna range. These ranges also include the 7th (Dhaulagiri 8,167m) and the 10th (Annapurna I 8,091m) highest mountains in the world. The other mountains that make these ranges are Tukuche, Thapa Peak, Nilgiri-South, Central and North, Tilicho Peak, Patal Hiunchuli, Annapurna South, Baraha Shikhar Chuli, Singu Chuli, Tharpu Chuli, Tare Kang, Gangapurna, Annapurna III, Gandarwa Chuli, Machhapuchhre, Mardi Himal, Annapurna IV, Annapurna II as well as Lamjung Himal, which you can see as one panorama from the Poon Hill. Apart from the Poon Hill, Tadapani is another best spot on this trail to view wonderful mountain views. Nevertheless, this trek also introduces you to the culture, tradition, hospitality, farming practices and lifestyle of Gurung and Magar people (ethnic groups in Nepal) inhabiting the villages en route.

This 9 days Ghorepani-Ghandruk trip with Amigo Treks and Expedition stars with your arrival in Kathmandu and ends with your departure from Kathmandu. The actual trek, starting with a drive from Pokhara to Ulleri takes you through Ghorepani, Tadapani to Ghandruk and ends with a drive back to Pokhara from Ghandruk. Kathmandu (the living museum of ancient art and architecture), Pokhara (the infamous lake city), Poon Hill (the best moutain viewpoint), Ghandurk (culturally rich Gurung Village) are the major highlights of this Ghorepani-Ghandruk trek package. Apart from the trek, the package also includes sightseeing tour in Kathamndu and Pokhara, making it a perfect short trip to take in Nepal. You will spend 3 nights in Kathmandu, 3 Nights in Pokhara and 3 night in the Annapurna region.

Ghorepani-Poon Hill Ghandruk trek is considerably easy, therefore, it is suitable for all age groups looking to embrace the beauty of nature for a few days without having to climb high altitude or go on a strenuous hike. This trek is also great as there is no risk of altitude sickness. Moreover, this trek makes the best trek for trekkers, who do not have sufficient time to attempt long treks like our 12 days Annapurna Base Camp Trek or Annapurna Circuit Trek. However, if you are looking for a shorter trek we also have 7 days Ghorepani- Poon Hill trek for you. Trekkers who are already in Pokhara can also book just the trekking part with us. Nevertheless, if you are looking for an alternative to this trek, we highly recommend our 10-day Mardi Himal Trek.

If none of the packages on the website fit your requirements, help us understand your requirements and we will custom-design itinerary and package for you. Do not forget to ask for a discount if you have a group. Our 9 days Poon Hill Ghandruk trek package is also a very suitable trekking package for student groups and also make a perfect off-season trek in Nepal. This trekking package ensures accommodation in lodges and meals from the teahouse menu.

Though the trek can be planned any time of the year, February to May and September to December make the most perfect time to plan this trek.
