Tamang Heritage trail with Langtang trek is one of the best combinations of the mountain and the Himalayan culture exploration. Langtang region is home to both heavenly mountains as well as the rich cultural heritage of ethnic Tamang people in Nepal. Offering a very close view of the Langtang range, Ganesh Himal, Manaslu, and several other peaks, the Langtang Tamang Heritage trail presents trekkers an insight into an ancient Tamang and Tibetan culture. The beautiful forest of Rhododendron and Bamboo, wildlife, wildflowers, majestic waterfalls, sacred lakes, ancient Tibetan monasteries, Mani walls, and the settlement of people: their lifestyle, culture, tradition, and religion add extra charm to this trek. This place isn’t just famous as the home of glaciers and mountains but is equally famous as a land of magic, meditation, and Shamanism.
According to our 15 days, Tamang Heritage Trail and Langtang Trek itinerary the trek begins with a 9-hour bus ride from Kathmandu to Syabrubesi. The first part of the trek is more of a cultural experience; therefore, the trail heads west of the Bhote Koshi River towards the Tamang villages that offer the best in Tibetan influenced Tamang settlement: their culture, lifestyle, craftsmanship, housing style, and their carving skills. The second part of the trek head east of the Bhote Koshi river, focusing more on nature and adventure. Settlements like Gatlang, Briddhim Langtang, and Kyangjin Gompa are the major attractions of this trek.
Tamang Heritage trail combined with the Langtang trail trekking package also includes a guide's sightseeing tour to some of the major world heritage sites of the Kathmandu Valley. This trek is a combination of both tea-house and Homestay trekking. The package offers full board during the trek and bed and breakfast after the trek. It also includes the benefit of a free map. However, the package can be customized to your requirements, ensuring special group discounts, 100% departure, and flat rates.
Moreover, planning your trek at the right time of the year, that is, March-May and September to November helps you to complete your trek due to better supportive weather, temperature, better visibility, and trail. 3,830m is the maximum height achieved during the hike to the Tamang Heritage Trail and Langtang valley. Therefore, any physically fit and mentally determined adventure, as well as cultural trekker, can plan and attempt this trekking trail situated north yet close to the Kathmandu Valley.
