Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu (1,300m/4,264ft)

Welcome to Nepal! Our team members will be waiting for you at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) and will guide you to your respective hotel. We will ensure that you will be staying in one of the finest hotels in the city (Hotel Marriott or similar). After refreshment, we will discuss further on the trek and in the evening you will be guided to a Nepali restaurant to experience local Nepali cuisine with a cultural show. However, if your flight is late at night, we will schedule it for the next day.

Highlights of the day: An introduction to Nepali culture through food, cultural music, and ethnic dance.

Day 2: Kathmandu Valley City Tour

Today we will explore Kathmandu and spend the day sightseeing few of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites located in Kathmandu. After breakfast, we will head to Pashupatinath, Swayambhunath, Boudhanath and Kathmandu Durbar Square in our private transportation. These sites will give you a perspective on the cultural beauty and historic monuments of Nepal. After the tour, we will head back to the office to check on equipments and gears and meet your guide to plan out the trek. We will drop you to your hotel in the evening.

Highlights of the day: Enjoying the Luxury hotel in Kathmandu. Kathmandu Durbar Square - a historical structure that exhibits centuries old cultural wonders, Pashupatinath Temple – a Hindu shrine dedicated to Lord Shiva, who possesses the power of destruction, Swayambhunath and Boudhanath – a Buddhist shrine dedicated to Lord Buddha, who is also known as the Light of Asia.

Day 3: Flight to Lukla & trek to Phakding (2,652m/8,700ft)

Are you ready for your epic EBC adventure? After breakfast, we will head out to TIA to catch the flight to Lukla. For about 30-35 minutes, you will get to see the best of Nepal from up above the clouds. Upon landing at the Tenzing-Hillary Airport in Lukla we will have breakfast surrounded by the beautiful Himalayan range. In the meantime, you will be introduced to our Sherpas who will manage your bags and do the arrangements. After freshening up, we will start the walk to Phadking which takes about 4 hours. Once we reach Phakding, we check into a deluxe lodge for our overnight stay.

Highlights of the day: Flight to one of the most dangerous airports in the world, enjoying the best view of the hills and mountains. The start of the trek from Lukla introduced to the Sherpa community, their culture, and tradition. Beautiful Mani walls are carved and painted with Buddhist inscriptions, prayer flags, and monasteries. The peaceful riverside location is boosted by the tranquil environment.​

Day 4: Trek from Phakding to Namche (3,440m/11,283ft)

Namche Bazaar is one of the biggest “rest areas” during the EBC trek. It is full of markets, restaurants, and Wi-Fi cafes and will be our destination for today. Along the way, you will pass through pine trees and rhododendron forests. You will also cross the Dudh Koshi and Bhote Koshi rivers. A little further than Monjo Valley, you will reach the entrance of Sagarmatha National Park. After walking for about 5-6 hours in total we will arrive at Namche Bazar where we stay the night in a tourist standard lodge with facilities like a hot shower and attached bathroom.

Highlights of the day: Sherpa villages like Zam Fute, Chhumowa, and Monjo. Beautiful vegetations in the Sagarmatha National Park. First panoramic view of Mt. Everest, Lhotse, and Ama Dablam. Luxurious accommodation with amenities like a bathroom with hot running water and an attached bathroom. Freshly prepared dinner including organic vegetables grown locally.

Day 05: Acclimatization Day in Namche

Being the most popular resting spot during the EBC Trek, Namche has a lot to offer. Stupas and shrines, traditional Sherpa villages, excellent mountain views, internet cafes, and Saturday markets are some activities you can opt for while in Namche. If interested, you can also hike up to Syangboche or Khumjung. The most beautiful and serene Himalayan Range will surround you while in Namche.

Highlights of the day: Visit Sherpa villages. Museum, monasteries, cafes, bakeries, shops, restaurants, post offices, hospitals, government health posts, 24-hour electricity, water supply, and internet access.

Day 06: Trek from Namche to Tengboche (3,867m/12,684ft)

After having breakfast at Namche, we head out for Tengboche on a 5 hours walk. The trail leads up towards a ridge and an easy walk to Kyamjuma then descends at 2350m at the Dudh Koshi River. You can enjoy Kumbu’s biggest Monastry at Tengboche with the view of Everest, Lhotse, and Ama Dablam. We will spend the night in a tourist standard lodge here.

Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Highlights of the day: The Dudh Koshi River, spectacular view of Mt. Everest, Mt. Nuptse, Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Ama Dablam, and Mt. Thamserku. Rhododendron forest, spotting animals and birds like musk deer, multi-colored pheasant, and Thar. Tengboche – the largest Gompa in the Khumbu region.

Day 07: Trek from Tengboche to Dingboche (4,358m/14,295ft)

Today’s journey starts after breakfast from Tengboche. About half an hour is spent walking through the lush rhododendron forest and across the river to reach Pangboche, a valley with Khumbu’s highest settlement. A lot of Gompas, Prayer Flags, and Mani Walls can be spotted here. Then we ascend past Shomare and Orsho and take the trail that leads to Dingboche which can be reached in about 5 hours from Pangboche. The night is spent in a lodge in Dingboche.

Highlights of the day: Sighting of musk, deer, munal, blue sheep. Lush forest, steep climbs, and magnificent Chortens and Mani walls.

Day 08: Acclimatization Day in Dingboche (4,360m/14,300ft)

It is important to acclimatize to adapt to the thinning air. It is recommended that we stay active and moving during the rest day instead of being idle. You can stroll around the kilometers of stone walls that cover the entire valley of Dingboche. We will have dinner in the lodge and spend the night here.

Highlights of the day: Explore Dingboche and its summer settlement. View of Mt. Lhotse and Mt Amadablam and Imja River from the ridge to the north of the village. Kilometers of stone walls cover the Imja valley.

Day 09: Trek from Dingboche to Lobuche (4,928m/16,164ft)

After the acclimatization day, you will start today’s journey to Lobuche. The superb views from Lobuche make it one of the most quintessentially popular during the Everest trek. The walk from Dingboche to Lobuche will lead us through the Dungla (Thokla) Pass. Along the way, we can also see the campsite of the first successful Everest Expedition in 1953 and tombstones dedicated to the memories of the climbers who lost their life ascending Everest. As the trail drops to the Khumbu Glacier, we find ourselves facing several great peaks including Khumbutse, Lingtren, Pumori, and Mahalangur Himal. We will be accompanied by abundant prayer flags and praying wheels. After the 5 hours long walk, we will finally reach Lobuche.

Highlights of the day: The view of Chola Lake along with Mt. Pumori. Memorials of Sherpas that perished on the glacier of Mt. Everest at Khumbu glacier. View of other peaks like Khumbutse, Lingtren, and Mahalangur Himal.

Day 10: Trek from Lobuche to Gorak Shep- Everest Base Camp-Gorak Shep (5,320m/17,450EBC) /(5,160m/16,929 Gorek Shep)

On the 10th day of the trek, we aim to reach Everest Base Camp via Gorak Shep. The trail goes through the Khumbu Glacier. Ahead on the trail, we pass the Italian Research Center and see the crest of the north ridge of Everest along with Mt. Pumori, Mahalangur, Lingtern, Khumbutse, and Nuptse. We will arrive at Gorak Shep, rest and have lunch and continue our quest for Everest! On reaching the Base Camp we can see bright-colored tents surrounded by the Himalayan range all over. Although Everest is not visible from here we will have arrived at our destination. Everest can be seen closely from Kala Patthar thus we walk down to Gorak Shep and plan the hike up to Kala Patthar the following day.

Highlights of the day: North ridge of Everest along with a 360-degree vista of snowy mountains like Mt. Pumori, Mt. Mahalangur, Mt. Lingtern, Mt. Khumbutse, Mt. Nuptse. A glimpse of Kala Pattar. Adventurous rocky and glacial trail and the Everest Base Camp.

Day 11: Trek from Gorak Shep-Kala Pattar to Pheriche (5,550m/18,204ft Kala Pattar)/ (4,358m/14,295ft Pheriche)

On the climax day, we will watch the sunrise from Kala Patthar. Kala Patthar translates to “A Black Mountain”, located in the South Ridge of Pumori providing the closest and supreme view of Mt. Everest. There are several viewpoints along the way where we can catch our breath and enjoy the panoramic view of Pumori, Lobuche West to Nuptse, Lhotse, and Everest; Khumbu glacier, the Everest Base Camp, Gorakshep. We return to Gorak Shep and have breakfast and head down to Dughla, past Lobuche. You will have to cross the bridge across the glacier stream and follow the trail to Pheriche. On reaching Pheriche by walking for 7-8 hours, you will check into your lodge and have your dinner there.

Highlights of the day: Sunrise view of Mt. Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse, Pumori, and Ama Dablam from the best viewpoint of the Khumbu region, ‘Kala Pattar”.

Day 12: Trek from Pheriche to Namche Bazaar (3,400m/11,283ft)

After a hot breakfast at the lodge in Pheriche, we take the trail downhill towards Pangboche village. Then, the trail drops to the riverside to cross the bridge over Imja Khola and leads towards Tengboche. A steep descent from Tengboche takes you to the Dudh Koshi River Bridge. We cross the first bridge on our return trip in PhungiTenga and reach Namche Bazaar. We will spend the night here so that you can enjoy a hot shower, and relax in restaurants, cafes, and bakeries.

Highlights of the day: The village of Pangboche, Tengboche, and Namche Bazaar. Suspension bridges and vertical descent makes the journey exciting.View of Imja Khola and modern facilities like restaurants, cafes, and bakeries at Namche bazaar.

Day 13: Trek to Lukla (2,652m/8,700ft) (7-8 hours)

On the 13th day, we will have breakfast in Namche after which we descend to Lukla. We will pass the Larja Bridge, pass Monjo and reach Phakding for lunch. You can enjoy Everest for the last time during your lunch. Then we will head down to Lukla passing the beautiful villages of Nurning, Thado Koshigaun, and Chheplung. In Lukla, you can either spend time socializing in the cafes or spend time by yourself celebrating your audacious achievement.

Highlights of the day: Flat trail, Rhododendrons, and Pine forest. Sherpa villages, prayer stones, and prayer flags. 

Day 14: Flight to Kathmandu (1,300m/4,264ft)

After bidding farewell to the Khumbu Region we take our flight to Kathmandu today. Passing from the world’s most dangerous airport in Lukla, we reach the Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu. Your private transportation will pick you up and take you to your hotel. We will host dinner for you where we can talk about your experience and take feedback.

Day 15: Leisure Day in Kathmandu

Your leisure day in Kathmandu can be spent according to your wish. Nevertheless, we highly recommend you to visit sites like Patan or Bhaktapur to make the time worthwhile. You can also experience the nightlife in Thamel, the tourist hub of the city.
