I recently had the pleasure of booking an Everest Base Camp helicopter tour with Amigo Treks and Expedition, and it was truly an incredible experience. The tour began early in the morning, with a private car arriving at my hotel to transport me to Kathmandu's airport. After completing the airport formalities, I met with the captain and boarded the helicopter, ready for an adventure of a lifetime.
As we took off, we were greeted with spectacular views of green hills, and after passing through Dolakha village, we arrived at Jiri village. The helicopter ride continued over the Lamjura-La Pass, which was covered in dense rhododendron forests. After 45 minutes, we arrived at Lukla, with breathtaking views of the Himalayan mountain ranges. I was amazed by the world's smallest runway and the local Sherpa culture and way of life at the airport.
After refueling at Lukla, we flew to Kala Patthar, which offered breathtaking views of the surrounding Himalayan mountain ranges. We landed at Kalapatthar, where we were able to take in the stunning views of Mount Everest up close. It was truly an unforgettable moment that will stay with me forever.
After our time at Kalapatthar, we flew to Khongde for breakfast, where we were treated to a delicious meal with a stunning view. The scenery was breathtaking, and the food was a perfect way to refuel before our flight back to Kathmandu. On the way back, we made a short stop at Lukla, which was another highlight of the trip. The landing was smooth, and we were able to take in the views of the Lukla airstrip, which is considered one of the most dangerous airstrips in the world.
Our pilot, Prajjwal K.C., was experienced and knowledgeable and made the experience even more enjoyable. He provided us with information about the region and made sure we were safe and comfortable throughout the trip. The entire Amigo Treks and Expeditions team was friendly and accommodating, and they made sure that we had a fantastic experience.
Overall, the Everest Base Camp helicopter tour with Amigo Treks and Expeditions was a once-in-a-lifetime experience that I would highly recommend to anyone. The stunning scenery and incredible views of Mount Everest were unforgettable, and the entire trip was organized to perfection.
