To begin with, I would like to express special appreciation to three people who work at Amigo Treks & Expeditions. First: To Miss Niti Shiroma, Amigo's sales representative. I booked my trek “Manaslu Circuit “ from the 20th of April, 2020, however, due to Covid-19, I was forced to postpone my trek for good uncertain periods until I performed from late November to early December.
I’ve kept in communication with Niti several times and expressed my concerns, and each time Niti reassured me. Eventually, Niti delivered on all of her promises and more. She directed my guide to remind me to take blood pressure medicine every morning as I told him “I’m a lazy man who easily forgets medication.” She also ordered my guide to take oxide meters & satellite phones, considering my age, 75.
Second:
To Pramod, my outstanding guide. He speaks good English, furthermore, his reading skills seem to be excellent. He is a very experienced guide who could be able to make fair judgments of the capabilities and experiences of each client. He lets me walk as same as I walk in the mountains in Japan at the same rhythm and pace. I was very pleased he accepted my walking style. He has been a good leader to manage my porter, Ramesh. Thanks to their excellent personalities, the three of us were able to enjoy the trek as if we were in the same family.
Third:
To Amigo Treks & Expeditions. The philosophy of the company seems to be “Client Oriented,” and the idea is well delivered to each employee. I’m sure to ask the company for my next opportunity.
With 3 friends we trek up the Tsum Valley supported by our guide Dawa and porters Shambu and Anil… a fantastic trip. Beautiful, fascinating,
