I have recently returned from an amazing trip to Everest Base Camp with Amigo Trekking. We decided on Amigo trekking for our EBC trek after researching different trekking companies. Tika from Amigos was always very prompt in answering our many questions.
Our group of five arrived in Kathmandu to be met at the airport by our guide Khem Regmi. The following day we met with both Khem and Tika who went over our itinerary for the EBC trek and some pre and post-trek activities in Kathmandu. We were provided with advice on avoiding altitude sickness and general trekking tips.
We were lucky to have terrific weather during our trek and we followed the advice given by Amigos none of the group suffered any sickness. Our guide Khem was fantastic keeping a watch on our condition, organizing meals, educating us on Nepal, and teaching us many new card games…
At the end of the trek low cloud cover delayed flights out of Lukla airport and Amigo's expertise came in really useful for organizing alternate travel arrangements.
In summary, the EBC trek is a trip of a lifetime. The all-inclusive Amigos trek package is good value. We found the tea houses and food to be of a good standard and the service supplied by Amigos exceptional.
Thanks to Amigos, Tika, Khem, and our porters for a fantastic trip and the wonderful memories.
