My experience with Amigos Trekking was nothing short of extroidinary. I emailed a few trekking companies and found Amigos to be the most responsive and attentive to all my queries. Ms Niti Sharma is an absolute fantastic kind and wonderful young lady. She answered all my queries and addressed any concerns I had regarding the trek. I signed up for the Gokyo Lakes Cho La pass EBC trek! We deviated from the original itinerary after all our group decided that EBC would be first and we would decide if Cho La pass was for us.
I was a single traveller and had no previous trekking experience and our group of 5 was all first timers, so I could not have asked for any better group. I was the only male in the group and my 4 young female trekking buddies were some of the most humble and down to earth people I have met and really made my trek.. I cannot express my sincere thanks for our porters including one who had the job of tailing me as I was the slowest in the group. Janak Basnet is simply fantastic and a great companion who motivated me to keep going and get to our destination each and every day. I felt supported and very humble by his great companionship and his strength and dedication through my fantastic mountain adventure and hope he is part of my next trek next year.
I returned to Kathmandu and had a couple of days spare so a quick trip to Amigos (just down the street from where I was staying) and 10 minutes later a trip to Pokhara was organised by Niti! Needless to say that the Pokhara trip also went without any issues (except I missed the bus back to Kathmandu and luckily they put me on the next bus at 8am). The best service and accommodation from Amigos.
The food on the trek was nothing short of amazing, lots of it and fantastic. Accommodation first rate I think I said a few times that it was too good for me!
If you are ever thinking of trekking in Nepal, Amigos is a first class company very origanised and helpful I highly recommend them to anybody who is considering trekking in Nepal.
I will be back next year for my next adventure and look forward to organising my trip with Niti and Amigos in the near future.
After years of exploring various destinations, Everest Base Camp remained on our bucket list as that one intimidating challenge. The logistics alon
