My husband, mother, mother-in-law and I did the Poon Hill trek for 4 nights/5 days. We booked on arrival in Kathmandu and found it to be an easy and stress-free process. We were introduced to Tika in the Amigo Trekking office through out guesthouse and were not pressured to book the trek at all. We were given the information and prices and were even encouraged to shop around if we didn't feel sure, the only advice being to find a company that made us feel safe and happy. The trek itself was really wonderful! Out guide Naba was very professional and knowledgeable and answered all our questions about the mountains, Nepali culture and everything else. He and our super-porter Ranjan looked after us in the tea houses - refilling our water for us and making sure our food was served on time (which, by the way, was delicious)! We were also lucky enough to have perfect weather each day. Overall we had a memorable experience and felt very safe and cared for.
