My guide from Amigo Trekking 'Kisim' picked me up and took me to hotel to meet Tika. Tika took me shopping for final trekking needs and out for welcoming dinner. Next morning met up with my trekking partner and Kisim and set off to the airport and flew to Lukla. Breakfast was served and we met our porters 'Lukpa & Bim' then set off for our trek. We stayed in comfortable lodges all the way and chose our own meal off the menu. Our guide Kisim and porters Lukpa and Bim were very polite and hospitable the entire trek. We made many necessary stops on the way and were informed by Kisim 'not to worry' that it was our holiday and to take our time on our trek. Every step taken offered absolute amazingly beautiful scenery like no other. And reaching Everest Base Camp as truly a memorable moment. I was taken out for farewell dinner after the trek and delivered to the airport for my flight back to Australia.. The cost of this trek is worth every dollar. Overall, if anyone is considering trekking to Everest Base Camp look no further. Amigo Trekking is the company in Nepal to go with.
