Everest Helicopter Tour from Kathmandu

I recently had the pleasure of booking an Everest Base Camp helicopter tour with Amigo Treks and Expedition, and it was truly an incredible experience. The tour began early in the morning, with a private car arriving at my hotel to transport me to Kathmandu's airport. After completing the airport formalities, I met with the captain and boarded the helicopter, ready for an adventure of a lifetime. As we took off, we were greeted with spectacular views of green hills, and after passing through Dolakha village, we arrived at Jiri village. The helicopter ride continued over the Lamjura-La Pass, which was covered in dense rhododendron forests. After 45 minutes, we arrived at Lukla, with breathtaking views of the Himalayan mountain ranges. I was amazed by the world's smallest runway and the local Sherpa culture and way of life at the airport. After refueling at Lukla, we flew to Kala Patthar, which offered breathtaking views of the surrounding Himalayan mountain ranges. We landed at Kalapatthar, where we were able to take in the stunning views of Mount Everest up close. It was truly an unforgettable moment that will stay with me forever. After our time at Kalapatthar, we flew to Khongde for breakfast, where we were treated to a delicious meal with a stunning view. The scenery was breathtaking, and the food was a perfect way to refuel before our flight back to Kathmandu. On the way back, we made a short stop at Lukla, which was another highlight of the trip. The landing was smooth, and we were able to take in the views of the Lukla airstrip, which is considered one of the most dangerous airstrips in the world. Our pilot, Prajjwal K.C., was experienced and knowledgeable and made the experience even more enjoyable. He provided us with information about the region and made sure we were safe and comfortable throughout the trip. The entire Amigo Treks and Expeditions team was friendly and accommodating, and they made sure that we had a fantastic experience. Overall, the Everest Base Camp helicopter tour with Amigo Treks and Expeditions was a once-in-a-lifetime experience that I would highly recommend to anyone. The stunning scenery and incredible views of Mount Everest were unforgettable, and the entire trip was organized to perfection. I will cherish this experience for years to come, and I look forward to booking with Amigo Treks and Expeditions again in the future.

Upper Mustang Motorbike Tour

My friend and I recently went on a motorbike tour of Upper Mustang with Amigo Treks and Expedition, and we have to say, it was an incredible experience. From the stunning scenery to the fascinating cultural sites, it was a trip that we will never forget. On the first day, we arrived in Kathmandu and were warmly greeted by an Amigo Treks and Expeditions representative. We were transferred to our hotel, where we had the rest of the day to explore the city on our own. The following day, we had a full day of sightseeing in the Kathmandu Valley, where we visited some of the most iconic sites in the city, including the Swayambhunath Stupa, Pashupatinath Temple, and Boudhanath Stupa. We also had the chance to test drive our motorcycles and get familiar with them before starting the journey. On the third day, we started our journey toward Pokhara, a city known for its stunning natural beauty. The drive was breathtaking, and we were already in awe of the scenery. We continued our journey through the rugged terrain of the Mustang region, making our way to Kalopani on the fourth day. The views were incredible, and we couldn't believe the natural beauty that surrounded us. One of the highlights of the trip was visiting Muktinath, a sacred place for both Hindus and Buddhists. After spending time there, we made our way back to Kagbeni, a town that sits at the entrance of the Mustang region. The following day, we drove to Ghami, a small village with a rich history and cultural significance. The highlight of the trip was visiting Lo-Manthang, a fortified city that is home to some of the most fascinating cultural heritage in the region. We spent the day exploring the city and learning about its history. We had an entire day to explore around Lo-Manthang and take in all of the sights and sounds of this incredible city. From ancient monasteries to beautiful palaces, there was no shortage of things to see and do. After leaving Lo-Manthang, we continued our journey towards Gilling, a small town that offered a glimpse into the everyday life of the people in the region. We then made our way back to Kagbeni and eventually to Tatopani, a small village known for its natural hot springs, where we could relax and unwind after days of driving. We then made our way back to Pokhara, where we could take in more of the city's natural beauty and soak up its relaxed atmosphere. The next day, we drove back to Kathmandu, where we had one final night to experience the city's vibrant culture and unique atmosphere. Overall, my friend and I had an amazing experience on the Upper Mustang motorbike tour with Amigo Treks and Expedition. The itinerary was action-packed, and we got to see some of the most stunning scenery in Nepal. We highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for an adventure in this beautiful country.

Everest Base Camp Trek

Amigo Treks & Expedition has arranged a trek to Everest Base Camp in March 2022, and Niti provided exceptional customer service from the outset, promptly responding to all of our queries. She presented us with various options based on the number of days we had available and ultimately suggested a helicopter flight to accommodate our work schedule. The entire trip, from airport pickup to our stay in Kathmandu and the flight to Lukla, went extremely smoothly. Undertaking the trek was an incredible challenge and an unforgettable experience, featuring awe-inspiring views as we ascended. Our group was accompanied by an exceptional guide, Jon, and a porter, Ranjit. Jon kept us informed about what to expect each day and provided unwavering support, even when my friend was struggling with the altitude and became irritable. Ranjit was a fantastic addition to the group, always cheerful and amiable. As we ascended to Everest Base Camp, we formed a close bond and had a great time together. Moreover, Niti reserved exceptional accommodations for us. The tea houses we stayed in were spotless and comfortable, and it was clear that Niti had gone out of her way to secure the best available lodgings at each stop. Overall, we had a fantastic experience, and we would strongly recommend Amigo Treks & Expedition to anyone seeking an unforgettable journey.

Manaslu Circuit Trek – 15 Days

To begin with, I would like to express special appreciation to three people who work at Amigo Treks & Expeditions. First: To Miss Niti Shiroma, Amigo's sales representative. I booked my trek β€œManaslu Circuit β€œ from the 20th of April, 2020, however, due to Covid-19, I was forced to postpone my trek for good uncertain periods until I performed from late November to early December. I’ve kept in communication with Niti several times and expressed my concerns, and each time Niti reassured me. Eventually, Niti delivered on all of her promises and more. She directed my guide to remind me to take blood pressure medicine every morning as I told him β€œI’m a lazy man who easily forgets medication.” She also ordered my guide to take oxide meters & satellite phones, considering my age, 75. Second: To Pramod, my outstanding guide. He speaks good English, furthermore, his reading skills seem to be excellent. He is a very experienced guide who could be able to make fair judgments of the capabilities and experiences of each client. He lets me walk as same as I walk in the mountains in Japan at the same rhythm and pace. I was very pleased he accepted my walking style. He has been a good leader to manage my porter, Ramesh. Thanks to their excellent personalities, the three of us were able to enjoy the trek as if we were in the same family. Third: To Amigo Treks & Expeditions. The philosophy of the company seems to be β€œClient Oriented,” and the idea is well delivered to each employee. I’m sure to ask the company for my next opportunity.

Ultimate Luxury Everest Base Camp Trek

My friends and I did the EBC trek to celebrate our 50th birthday. We contacted Amigo treks 6 months before the trip and decided to book the Luxury option which includes a helicopter ride on the way back and the best possible accommodation on the trek. The booking process was smooth and professional. Niti, our contact from Amigo, provided us with all the info about the trek. She was really prompt and all the info we got turned out to be accurate and useful. The Kathmandu tour we had on our first day was perfect thanks to our guide Sushma who was incredibly informative. Agency organized our flight to Lukla directly from Kathmandu airport which is rare lately since most of the flights to Lukla do not leave from Kathmandu airport anymore but from another airport further from Kathmandu. Our guide on the trek was Hari Adhikari. Great guy. Experienced, reliable, pleasant, with good knowledge of English language. Everything during the trek was literally flawless. We had the best possible accommodation, we were well-guided, and everything was organized in advance and smoothly. The porters were really lovely guys as well. We even got a cake at EBC for our 50th birthday which was a bit surreal and a memory of a lifetime :) There are other activities in that region that I would like to do someday. I will definitely book Hari and Amigo Treks.

My brother and I trekked to EBC and Kala Patthar with our amazing guide Pramod! We absolutely loved our trip. The scenery was extraordinary, the food was amazing and the villages were just adorable. We were extremely happy with Pramod, he organized absolutely everything. We didn't have to lift a finger. We would have struggled without a guide with organizing everything from the accommodation to the food so we were extremely grateful to him. He ensured we were encouraged enough to make it to the top and played card games with us every night. I will definitely be coming back to this region & when I do I will be going through amigo and requesting Pramod!! 🀩

My boyfriend and I did the 14-Day Everest Base Camp Trek and it was a fantastic experience! They had everything covered and taken care of from the moment we landed. Our guide Jon definitely made our trip and ensured we had an authentic and enjoyable experience. Amigo Treks and Jon are experienced veterans of this trek and understand how to make sure everyone enjoys the trek. It was only my boyfriend and me with our guide Jon and Jon was truly our friend by the end of the trek. At the same time to he looked out for us and guided us on what we should and should not eat, how fast we should walk, and when to rest. We never once were sick from food or altitude and while the trek was challenging, we enjoyed every day! We saw other groups with altitude sickness and sick from food. We felt fortunate that we had Jon guiding and advising us along the way. While we thought this would be a β€œonce in a lifetime” trip for us, we are already talking about doing more circuits and will definitely use Amigo Treks and request Jon when we return!!

Upper Mustang Trek

To begin, let me state that I have never written a review. But after visiting Nepal and completing the Upper Mustang Trek with Amigo Treks & Expedition, I feel compelled to write a review because Niti, Amigo's sales representative, was outstanding. This trip has been in the works since 2019. We were apprehensive because we were four classmates who were not particularly young and had no prior experience with trekking. I spoke with Niti several times and expressed my concerns, and each time Niti reassured us. She promised to make sure we were all safe. The trip was canceled in 2020 due to COVID. Finally, when the trip took place in May 2022, Niti delivered on all of her promises and more. Niti made certain that we all had window seats with unobstructed views of the mountains on our Everest flight which we choose to do after the trek. Finally, while trekking, Niti considered everything to ensure our safety. She had an extra guide so that if one of us became slow or needed extra assistance, he could assist. our extra guide, carried our backpacks when we were tired, and held our hands when one of us couldn't walk. The porters were all very friendly, pleasant, and eager to help us whenever we needed it. I see that amigo hires professionals to do the work. The trek's accommodations and food also exceeded our expectations. We had a great time on our trek, and we were only able to finish because of the team. Amigo

From the moment we booked our trip, Amigo was always communicating and available. Niti was helpful with things even outside their scope. Like arranging a COVID test for my wife and me. She also helped get additional reservations needed for days, not on their schedule. The Kathmandu day tour they provided was great. Shushna spoke good English and was very informative about all the sites visited. For the Trek, our guide Pramod was great. Always on top of our trek, time meals, and anything we needed. I, unfortunately, got sick and got altitude sickness. Pramod and the staff were good at making sure I was safe. I would recommend Amigos without a doubt.

Everest Base Camp Trek

Hello all, We used Amigo Treks for our trek to EBC in Sept-Oct 2021. The planning started in Mar-April 2021 in the middle of the pandemic so we had a ton of questions for Tika, our contact at Amigo in Kathmandu. He was always very prompt and detailed in answering all our questions which made it easy for most on the team to take a leap of faith and commit for the adventure. Tika also provided a contact of another patron from the past who was an avid adventure traveler who helped couple of us -who were still unsure about this trip - jump onboard. The guides and the porters were all very helpful all along the way in the trek. The guides were Raju, Rajan and Hari. All of them were wonderful and very knowledgeable about the route, the procedures and everything about the EBC trek. Raju and Rajan were good at English but even though Hari lacked the command on the language he was equally knowledgeable about everything and the most funny guy on the team. All the porters were wonderful. The only porter we got to talk to quite a bit was Padam and again he was very caring and always around to help even after carrying almost 10 times more than what each of us carried for so many hours. I've never seen these porters break a sweat for the work they did. It seemed like they were from a different planet. All the accommodations and meals provided were good. As the trek was in the middle of the pandemic we were the only group in many of the Tea Houses so probably had the best possible experience with the cleanliness of the facilities and the quality of the food as well. Pandemic has affected a lot of people around the world in many different ways. The livelihood of people in this part of the world depends on tourism which was immensely hurt. Our group was glad we could make the trip and make a small difference in the lives of all the folks at Amigo that were part of our trek. If you are considering EBC trek please do consider Amigo Treks, you won't go wrong.

Manaslu Circuit Trek – 15 Days

I recently returned from Nepal following a 100 mile hike of the Manaslu Circuit trek. My guide Janardan, did an excellent job along the way and Niti made all the arrangements making for incredible memories and experiences. This trek included spectacular scenery and was culturally very rich. Four years earlier, I had used Amigo for the Everest Base Camp trek so I knew I was in good hands as they took care of every detail. If you are looking for an exciting adventure, look no further than Amigo for an experienced, reasonably cost outfitter.
