Published TIMS fees are NPR 1,000 for SAARC applicants and NPR 2,000 for other foreign trekkers. National-park or conservation-area entry is a separate permit when required. Check the actual itinerary rather than assuming trekking has no permits or that every route uses the same registration process.
Restricted-area permits may be required for designated zones such as Upper Mustang, Manaslu and Upper Dolpo, in addition to other applicable permissions. A district name alone does not determine whether a special permit is needed: check the specific villages and itinerary against the current official restricted-area permit schedule and confirm arrangements with your trekking agency.
