Best way to help Nepal

They will never be the same, but they will definitely be better.

Nepal was, is, and will always remain the leading adventure destination in the world!

April 25, 2015, was undeniably a black day for the people of Nepal. The earthquake claimed over 8,000 lives; left more than 15,000 people injured; turned houses and heritage sites into rubble and brought thousands of people under the open sky.

For those who had the narrowest escape; the fear and the near-to-death experience will, forever remain in their hearts and minds and haunt them for months and years to come. The pain and the grief caused by the loss are inevitable. In such a scenario, picking oneself up and moving on towards a normal lifestyle is very much difficult and challenging.

However, despite all the hardships and the challenges, people have to bounce back to normalcy and life has to go on. For this to happen, the people of Nepal need your aid; not in cash or kind, but in the form of jobs.

Wondering how? It’s easy. Come, visit Nepal!

People are in need of a sustainable income source and your visit to Nepal can create one. How? Tourism has always been a greater source of income for the people of Nepal.  Every 6 tourists create one job in Nepal. More than 600 thousand jobs are directly created by the tourism industry.

Every single dollar that you spend on local food, accommodation, transportation, and other things of your interest becomes a good source of income for the people of Nepal. Therefore, paying a visit to Nepal and helping to boost the tourism industry will boost the economy of the country, which is the most required thing at the time of such a crisis.

Moreover, if you continue to visit Nepal, people will regain their lost hope in the tourism industry and be encouraged to repair and maintain the damaged sites as quickly as possible.

Is it still safe to visit Nepal?

Yes, it is. The earthquake has caused massive destruction in Kathmandu and 7 other districts of Nepal. We are not trying to deny this fact. However, even if we subtract the area of these districts from the total area of Nepal (1,47,181 sq km), the remaining area offers enough options for tourists to explore the cultural and natural attractions of Nepal.

The trekkers’ Paradise- the Annapurna Region, the lake city – Pokhara, Chitwan National Park, the Upper and the Lower Dolpa, Lumbini, Bardiya, and Illam, which are equally fulfilling, in terms of beauty and culture, are still safe to visit.

Out of 10 National Parks, 9 can still be visited. Out of 35 trekking routes, 33 routes still remain untouched by the effects of earthquakes. All the highways, sub-highways leading to these destinations, and national and international airports are safe and in full operation.

Communication services are very much intact. 90% of hotels in Kathmandu and 100% of hotels in other popular destinations like Lumbini, Chitwan, Bardiya, and the Annapurna Region are marked safe and in full operation.

Therefore, we claim that Nepal is still safe to visit. In fact, your dream destination still assures your safety and welcomes you with an open heart.

Moreover, to ensure more safety, the agencies have started booking accommodations in hotels marked safe by qualified engineers. Only highly experienced, licensed, and trained trekking and tour guides are hired to accompany you throughout the trek, climb, or tour. Only safe means of transportation, highways, and routes are used. The rescue teams are on standby, just in case.

Although the tremble under the Earth is unpreventable, every agency, working to promote the tourism industry is trying its best to minimize the risk and prevent the negative effects of earthquakes as well as other possible natural disasters that might hit Nepal in the coming days. Therefore, instead of canceling your trip, we suggest you visit Nepal and lend a helping hand for people to bounce back to normal life.
